Introduction
The main purpose of this guide is to provide information on the gear progression for Magic Damage and Full Support Cardinal Builds. For Magic builds, this guide should be read in tandem with Choi's Guide To Magic which provides more general information about magic classes. However, as the gear and concepts are similar across different builds, this guide should also be helpful for other magic builds. Please feel free to reach out to me (IGN: Choi or Tokki) for any questions or feedback!
Hi, I'm Conga Lyne, a performer main, hopefully this guide will help you along your journey playing the performer classes!<br>

Take note, the main appeal to performer is the large utility and party potential it provides while still remaining independent, this is a class played out of love.<br>
Also, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped me, as I learned and continue to learn Cardi!
You won't have the same DPS as meta classes like Ranger and Arch Mage, but still have more than enough damage (3b+ dps) to tackle all content with the right gear.

Notes
Cardinal is one of the most popular Support Builds with very useful supportive abilities and powerful heals. However, it also has strong magic builds and can be used for solo play and farming. It also has a physical build, but I won't be covering that.

This build will have two full sections for Support and Magic. Expand the sections below for more information!

Full Support
Notes
Cardinal is one of the most popular support builds in the game, as it provides a plethora of supportive buffs and has strong heals. Additionally, due to scaling off the target's HP, Cardinal can work very effectively as a tank. However, as solo farming is the main activity people do and party play is limited, you will have difficulty gearing or leveling, so I don't recommend this as your first class unless you are playing with a group of friends or a guild.

Due to it being full support, Cardinal focuses more heavily on stats and bonuses that other classes might not focus as much on. Cardinal is also a pretty flexible build, so you can adjust your build according to what works best for you! Whether you want to be the tankiest cardinal on the server, buff your friends 10 times per second, or have the strongest heal you can have, it's totally up to you. However, here is how I, personally, prioritize my stats:
# Cast Time Reduction: Generally, your goal will be to reach instant cast or near instant cast in the end game, so you will want to make sure you have enough FCT Reduction and VCT Reduction. Due to the +17 int and dex provided by and the stats you can afford not indexing into damage, so I opt for VCT reduction through Stats rather than gear. This means you will want reduction by getting your ((Dex x 2) + INT) = 530. However, 100% VCT reduction through gear is just as viable, and you can opt for this route as well.
# Tankiness: Overall, HP and resists, are super effective on Cardinal. Since scales off the target's HP, your healing will scale off your own HP if you cast it on yourself. Additionally, since you won't be sacrificing stats for damage, you can afford to invest in tank stats.
# After Cast Delay Reduction: Many of a Cardinal's main supportive abilities have zero to low cooldowns but high after cast delay. For example, has 0 cooldown but 3s After Cast Delay. As such, After Cast Delay Reduction is a stat that I index very highly into.
# Attack Speed: Attack Speed decreases the animation delay of your skills. Once you hit enough After Cast Delay Reduction, your skills will start being gated by your attack speed. As such, Attack Speed is a very useful stat for Cardinals
# Healing Effectiveness and H.Plus: Boosts the strength of your heals. If you think you are already tanky enough and have enough ACD and ASPD, then healing effectiveness will help boost your support abilities.

Also big shout out to Miku Kitsune for his recommendations on this.

Relevant Skills
* : One of the most powerful new abilities as a Cardinal. The ability heals in a 9x9 area based on a percentage of the target's max HP. If you go a tankier build, you'll be able to heal your team solely based on your HP.
* : Mediale requires your team members to be next to you. Dilectio Heal provides a powerful targeted heal in a 7x7 area around the target.
* : An incredibly strong single target heal. By default, it has a long 3s cooldown. However, with and the skill cooldown will go to 0.
* : The reason that Priest classes have been coveted in party play since second classes were introduced. The skill will resurrect your party member.
* : The Panic button. Sacrifices your HP to resurrect all fallen party members on screen. Make sure to carry around for this.
* : Fully Restores the target's HP which will be useful for you or other tanky members if they become low HP.
* : A Targeted debuff that makes the target take double the damage.
* : Gives effect in an AOE. However, the cooldown is significantly longer.
* : Provides Blessing effect to your whole party. At Max skill level, Clementia provides a bigger buff than blessing, granting 17 STR, INT, and DEX.
* : Provides Increase Agi effect to your whole party. At Max skill level, Cantocandidus provides 19 AGI.
* : Provides Kyrie Eleison effect to your whole party. At Max skill level, Praefatio blocks 16 hits.
* : Gives SPL/WIS/STA to a target.
* : Gives POW/CRT/CON to a target.
* : Restores HP and SP in an AOE and provides a huge 50 P.ATK and S.ATK buff.
* : Provides a buff to the target that allows them to ignore 25% MRES.
* : Provides a buff to the target that allows them to ignore 25% RES.
* : Provides a buff to the target that gives 10 C.Rate.
* : Self Buff that increases your Healing Power but increases your SP costs by 300%
* : Recovers Freezing, Stone Curse, Dark Curse, Frozen, Crystallization, and Burning status effects of all party members and gives a Max HP buff. However, it should be noted that status effects are much rarer in fourth classes.
* : Recovers Silence, Sleep, Stun Curse, Howling, and Deep Sleep status effects of all party members and gives a critical damage buff. However, it should be noted that status effects are much rarer in fourth classes.

There are other useful abilities, but these are the ones that I use the most often. In general, playing Cardinal may feel like playing the piano with all the keys you will press!

Stats and Traits
This guide will also focus on magical dps Performer, specifically the skill Metallic Fury, I will be focusing on the skill as it is spammable, has a large AoE, can be any element and has low entry requirements.<br>
Generally, Stats should be based on what best suits you. As such, I won't provide my exact Stat distribution, as you should update yours accordingly. Instead, I'll provide my priority and the benefits of each Stat:
If you need any direct help, you can most likely find me in the #archer channel on discord or as "Cute Boy Conga" ingame, I might take a while to respond so sending an RODex may be more convenient for both of us.
# Dex: Provides the highest reduction in Variable Cast Time from stats. It also provides the third-highest bonus in StatusMATK. You will want enough Dex to reach full VCT reduction.
# Int: Provides the the second-highest reduction in Variable Cast Time. It also provides the highest bonus in StatusMATK. You will want enough Int to reach full VCT reduction.
# Vit: Provides a lot of tankiness through HP, SoftDEF, and SoftMDEF.
# Agi: Provides some additional tankiness by providing FLEE, and the ATKSPD improves cast speed by reducing Cast animation.
# Str: Provides additional weight capacity which will help for farming.
# Luk: Provides the second-highest bonus in StatusMATK.
Note: If you opt to go for VCT Reduction through gear rather than stats, you can reduce your DEX significantly.

Traits are additional stats that provide bonuses for fourth classes. Traits are bit more straightforward:
With all that said, let's get into it.
# WIS (72-110): Provides Magical Resistance which I prioritize over Physical Resistance, as you will have a lot of Flee for physical damage.
# STA (72-110): Provides Physical Resistance.
# CRT (72-110): Provides H.Plus. Generally, I prioritize STA and WIS over CRT, but if you want very strong heals, feel free to max this.

Gear Progression
Leveling
Madame Celery's Guide to MuhRO has a very useful section for Gear Progression and Useful Cards, so please check that out! The information I will provide for Gear Progression will be more specific to Full Support Cardinal.
Going from level 0 to 200 is your first major goal, silver arrows will be the most useful throughout most areas of play.

It may be tempting starting out to want to rush your end-game gear. However, I do not recommend doing this and instead recommend improving your gear gradually, so you can farm more effectively.
Something that will help you significantly early on is eden group gear, you can attain eden group equipment by first joining the eden group after talking to Secretary Lime Evenor , and then talking to the various equipment masters at .<br>
Start from the bottom and work your way towards the top, I recommend gathering the items for Louis's free advanced items, but find it easier to spend 10 eden group coins on Labraham's advanced weapon.<br>
You can use the @wd <item name>, and @wi <monster name> commands to find where to locate the required materials.

Phase Eden
You can get normal eden group equipment at any level and advanced eden group equipment at level 100.
At Level 100, you can talk with Labraham and Louis at @go Eden to get your Advanced Paradise Gear. These gears will require , , and . <br> Additionally, you can talk with Lucy in the same room to receive your Advanced Paradise Shadow Gear by renting it for 20 Eden Coins for 3 days or buying the set permanently for 230 in total.

Phase One
Moving forward, your main priority is to see where you can reduce your fixed cast time, and your second priority will be increasing your tankiness. <br> Abilities will have a specific Fixed Cast Time and Variable Cast Time. For Cardinal, 1.5s Fixed Cast Reduction should be enough for the majority of your skills. However, some of your abilities will have 2s Fixed Cast, but you can aim for 1s or 1.5s for now. In general, some cast time is less punishing for Cardinals.
Fixed Cast Time can be reduced by equipment (Most often through Shoes, Costume Enchant Stones, Accessories, and Higher Level Headgear).<br>
Variable Cast Time can be reduced by gear (all types of gear) and stats. The formula to calculate your Variable Cast Time Reduction is 1 -((1-((Int + (Dex*2))/530)) * (1 - Bonus VCT from gear)). <br>
For now, just assume that your VCT will come in time and go full int and dex for your stats.

At Level 150, you can start using , which can be obtained after completing the 17.1 Questline from the Sentinel NPC. The boots are the easiest way to obtain some Fixed Cast Reduction, providing .5s at Refine Level 7. <br>
At Level 160, you will have access to Illusion of Luanda's Goibne Gear and Illusion of Twins' Sprint Gear. Both sets are very useful and the full combos can provide a mix of tankiness, ACD reduction, and .7s FCT reduction. For FCT reduction, you can also use for .5s FCT reduction and or for .3s or .5s FCT reduction respectively.<br>

Of the two Illusion sets, I recommend the Illusion Sprint Set as the transition to Phase Two will be the smoothest. However, both are powerful, and you will also be using pieces of both sets.

For all of the Illusion Gear, if you plan on using them for a while, you can enchant them with double and upgrade them to +11 for a big boost in HP.

Phase Two
Recommended leveling skills:
Phase Two is a very serviceable and budget-friendly build, and this is the build that I would recommend for players who are just making an alt cardi. With Phase Two, you should be very comfortable with joining public parties to support. <br>
* 1st job: Double Strafe, Arrow Shower
The Illusion Goibne and Illusion Sprint Combo from the previous Phase are quite strong and provide a lot of After Cast Delay Reduction, HP, and Fixed Cast Reduction that you will need, so I would pivot off of these slowly. Instead, the first upgrade you should focus on is the which will give you a big bonus in After Cast Delay. <br>
* 2nd job: Throw Arrow, Arrow Vulcan
Afterwards, if you were using the Goibne's Set, then you should focus on getting your shoes of choice, as you will need the FCT reduction before switching out other gear. If you were using Sprint Set then you can go for the and combo and before working on your shoes. <br>
* 3rd job: Reverberation

* 4th job: Metallic Fury
After finishing your shoes and obtaining the FCT requirement, you can start replacing other pieces of your gear.

is an interesting item, as with the enchant, the cooldown on will be reduced to 0. If you are finding yourself healing others often, I would recommend this item. If you are mainly supporting through buffs, then the Safety Combo will be best.
After you have a reliable zeny income, you can make a +10 and fill it with to make leveling up future Performers a lot faster.

The and the / and will provide much more tanky stats. The will provide more ACD Reduction.
Gameplay & Skills
For stats, you want to max int, dex, spl and con (addenddum: max spl & con stats are now 110 as of writing)</br>
You should get a healthy amount of vit & agi for durability and fast animation speed, and dumb left over points into str, wis for carry weight & additional durability.</br>
There aren't any specific tricks to pay attention to when playing Troubadour or Trouvere, just remember to keep your buffs up.</br>
The songs you choose however, do matter.</br>

Also big shout out to Soothing and Fuka's Serious Guide for FS Cardinal both of whom I used as a reference for this phase.

Phase Three
</br>
You should feel overall pretty good with your build after Phase Two. However, there are a lot of ways you can improve your gear greatly. After Phase Three you should feel comfortable tanking the hardest MvPs and dungeons. <br>
On 2nd job and onwards our skills will vary depending on the gender.
*  and
* Fortune's Kiss and
*
*  or
For Male performers, you should get Poem of Bragi and your favourite song of choice (I recommend Assassin Cross of Sunset for GM events)</br>
For Female performers, you should get Fortune's Kiss and Service For You, you won't use Fortune's Kiss outside of party play, but Service For You will be very useful for SP conservation while farming.</br>
Skillful Professional Musician is also a critical skill to get for both classes, as well as reaching max level with Dance Lessons for more passive stat bonuses.</br>

The biggest bonus will be from the Nebula and Stellar Seal combo or the Glade Rune Gear. The Nebula combo will provide more HP than the Glade Rune Combo, but the Glade Rune Armor will provide more ACD Reduction. Stamina Nebula: 133% bonus HP and 40% healing effectiveness as well as some resistances while the Glade Rune Armor + Combo will provide 95% bonus HP and 15% ACD Reduction as well as some STA. Both are great options.
During Phase Two, I highly recommend joining public Constellation Tower and Alice runs or running them with your friends to start getting the materials for CT and Alice gear.

In this phase, I would consider whether you will go for VCT Reduction through Stats or through Gears.
</br>
* For VCT through Stats, you can ignore any enchants that provide VCT reduction %. Instead, lean more towards Dex over Vit enchants, but having some Vit enchants is not bad. You will want to find a balance though. Generally, if you are using more DEX than VIT in your base stats VIT to get instant cast, then DEX enchants are better and vis-versa.
*
* For VCT through Gear, you will forgo any DEX enchants and opt for VIT instead. Additionally, you should look for more VCT Reduction %, but just make sure that you aren't wasting any enchants or gears after you hit 100% VCT Reduction.
*
Some gears and enchants to consider when going through VCT through Gear:
*  or
* and will provide you VCT%, whereas and will not.
* Frigg's Song
* VCT% enchants will be important on , , and
*
* and can provide you VCT%, whereas will not.
*
* and can be used instead of and
*
* Note that your shadow gear can also be enchanted with VCT% options.
For 3rd job, you should get Metallic Sound to level 5 as we'll need it for later, additionally, reach max level with Voice Lessons.</br>
Depending on your gender, you'll either be getting Swing Dance or Echo Song.</br>
Make sure to also grab Frigg's Song, Song of Mana and Unlimited Humming Voice.<br>

{| class="wikitable"
Song of mana will be very useful for farming dungeons as it can single handedly supply your mana if continuously recast when off cooldown.</br>
|+ Phase 3 Gear
Unlimited humming voice will be useful for when we need a large amount of damage, such as when fighting an MVP or powerful group of mobs.</br>
|-
Frigg's Song will likely only be used when fighting enemies who deal a large amount of damage such as Depths mobs and is useful for those circumstances.</br>
! Type !! Item !! Notes

Misc
Shadow Gear
Some great options for mixed Blue Shadow Gear are:
</br>
* Armor:
*
* Weapon:
*
* Shield:
*
* Shoes:
*
* Earring:  or
*
* Pendant:  or
*
*
Finally for 4th job, we mainly care about maxing Metallic Fury, Sound Blend and Stage Manners.</br>
Sound Blend will be critical for killing bosses and strong enemies as it puts a debuff on it's victims which causes them to take increased damage from Metallic Fury.</br>
Also be sure to grab Mystic Symphony and Sonata of Kvasir, afterwards you can grab as many songs as you like.</br>
I recommend assigning Serenade of Jawaii and March of Prontera to max level as well, as they will be your main 4th job buff skills for yourself and your party.</br>
They won't be as significant as most 2nd and 3rd job skills are, but will provide useful benefits and become stronger if a fellow performer is in your party!</br>
If you're alone, Chorus and Ensemble songs such as song of mana and invulnerable siegfred usually require a second performer to sing, but Sonata of Kvasir lets us cast them solo.

Costume Stones and Pets
Gameplay (Arrows)
Costume Stones: Arch Bishop Combo: , , or , and <br>
As stated in the previous section, there aren't too many tricks to be aware of, just be sure to keep your buffs up and you'll be fine.
If you need more FCT Reduction, or the combo can be used.

Cute Pets: , , and are good choices.
The only thing to be weary of is what arrow you currently have equipped as it will determine what element Metallic Fury uses.</br>
Some enemies are immune to certain elements, while others may take 200% damage when using the right element against them.</br>
Every enemy has a unique element you'll need to be conscious of which you can check using @mi <monstername> ingame (for example @mi Moonlight Flower), or by searching them on Divine Pride.

Cards
For the most part, holy damage is generally effective against almost all creatures except holy element enemies.</br>
You can find a great list of cards to use in Celery's Guide.
I recommend keeping different arrows on your hotbar to quickly swap between them when needed, as you can easily double your damage by using the right arrow or loose 75% of it by using the wrong one.

Gameplay (Maximizing Damage from Skills)
Metallic fury is our bread and butter for doing damage, however by itself it can only do so much.</br>
Let's say we have a Metallic fury which can hit for 100k damage, ignoring gear completely this is good, but we can do much better.

First we'll cast Sound Brand on our target, this will increase the damage of our Metallic Fury on them from 100k to 120k, this is a fantastic boost against bosses but not so useful against regular mobs as it'll take more time than it's worth to cast sound brand on all of them.

If we need more damage we can use Unlimited Humming Voice to increase our total damage by 40%, turning our 100k damage Metallic Fury into a 140k damage Metallic fury which is effective against all mobs.

{| class="mw-collapsible mw-collapsed" style="width: 100%;" data-mce-style="width: 100%;"
Of course, we can combine these for a multiplicative bonus of 168% damage for a 168k damage Metallic Fury, without even taking elemental vulnerabilities into account which will provide us with even more damage.

Magic DPS
As always also remember to add on Serenade of Jawaii for extra damage on top!

Notes
Stat Goals
DPS Cardinal is a very fun build that provides a mix of supportive abilities and damage that allows you to thrive in both solo play and group play. While you won't be as tanky or have as many supportive abilities as the Full Support Cardinal, you will still have access to some useful buffs and skills like or . Additionally, Arch Bishop's zero to low fixed cast requirements on Adoramus and Arbitrium make it fairly newbie friendly. However, due to its main fourth class damage skill being Holy element, you will have to be careful where you level and farm, as you won't be able to damage holy element.
Most classes will need to hit certain amounts of fixed cast time or after cast delay before maximizing their damage, but performers only need 20% After Cast Delay (ACD) to get the most out of their main dps skill Metallic Fury.<br>
Poem of Bragi can provide 30% for free, but is only accessible to male performers.<br>
If you are pursuing the path of being a Trouvere rather than a Troubadour, you will need to find a way to achieve 20% ACD through equipment alone.

Big shout out to Chyester for helping me test a few Cardinal builds.
New Wave Sunglasses are very useful for giving 10% ACD and an illusion Silver Guard can provide an additional 5% if refined to +10 using Illusion Refinement Boxes.
The remaining after cast delay reduction can be achieve through dim glacier weapons, but can prove to be very expensive to obtain early on.<br>
A cheaper option to consider might be the Sinful accessories as their set bonus provides 5% ACD reduction and do not need to be enchanted to provide this effect.

Relevant Skills
Combining New Wave Sun Glasses, Sinful Accessories and a +10 Illusion Silver Guard, you can achieve 20% ACD as a trouvere without Poem of Bragi.
* : Your main damaging abilities. Provides very strong damage to a target in a 9x9 AOE. This will be your highest DPS skill.
* : A very powerful ground targeted ability with a 11x11 AOE. It does neutral damage which will be helpful against holy mobs. However, this skill has a 5s cooldown, so it should not be your main skill.
* : Provides decent damage to a target in a 7x7 AOE. It does significantly less damage than Arbitrium, but this skill only has a shorter .3s cooldown.
* : Decreases Holy resistances of all enemies on screen with a 90% chance.
* : Gives SPL/WIS/STA to a target.
* : Provides a buff to the target that allows them to ignore 25% MRES.
* : Restores HP and SP in an AOE and provides a huge 50 P.ATK and S.ATK buff.
* : For early leveling, Adoramus will be your main skill before you become a cardinal. will make the skill do neutral damage.

Stats and Traits
Here are some other potential combinations to reach 20% ACD:
Generally, Stats should be based on what best suits you. As such, I won't provide my exact Stat distribution, as you should update yours accordingly. Instead, I'll provide my priority and the benefits of each Stat:
* Convertible Magical Wing + Victory Wing Ears
# Int: Provides the highest bonus in StatusMATK. It also provides the second-highest reduction in Variable Cast Time.
** 15%: Convertible Magical Wing + Victory Wing Ears Combo
# Dex: Provides the third-highest bonus in StatusMATK. It also provides the highest reduction in Variable Cast Time from stats. Early on, you will want a lot of Dex, as your gear may not provide the VCT reduction you need. Later on, it will be a lower priority. However, I tend to keep a lot of dex in my full build, as I don't always use my full build in lieu of item drop rate gear.
** 4% Victory Wing Ears
# Vit: Provides a lot of tankiness through HP, SoftDEF, and SoftMDEF.
** Note: This will only grant 19% ACD, but you'll only be short by 0.05 seconds so it will only have a small impact on dps.
# Agi: Provides some additional tankiness by providing FLEE, and the ATKSPD improves DPS by reducing Cast animation.
* New Wave Sunglasses + Isaac Wigner + Thanatos Accessories
# Str: Provides additional weight capacity which will help for farming.
** 10% : New Wave Sunglasses
# Luk: Provides the second-highest bonus in StatusMATK. However, I use more Dex than Luk because of the cast time reduction.
** 5% : Isaac Wigner
** 5% : Thanatos accessories combo
* Death Rune Manteau + Shield + Isaac Wigner
** 10% : Dim Glacier Manteau +11
** 5% : +10 Illusion Silver Guard or Mad Bunny-LT[A] or Mad Bunny-LT Enchantment
** 5% : Isaac Wigner
* Isaac Wigner + Illusion Silver Guard + New Wave Sunglasses
** 5% : Isaac Wigner
** 5% : +10 Illusion Silver Guard or Mad Bunny-LT[A] or Mad Bunny-LT Enchantment
** 10% : New Wave Sunglasses
* Other items of note
** 1% - 10% : Gambler's Seal can be enchanted for variable amounts of ACD reduction.
** 5% : Reload Stone (Dual)

Traits are additional stats that provide bonuses for fourth classes. Traits are bit more straightforward:
# SPL (110): Provides the highest bonus in S.MATK and your abilities will additionally scale off SPL.
# CON (100-110): Provides the second-highest bonus in S.MATK.
# WIS (50-82): Provides Magical Resistance which I prioritize over Physical Resistance, as you will have a lot of Flee for physical damage.
# STA (0-32): Provides Physical Resistance.

Gear Progression
Madame Celery's Guide to MuhRO has a very useful section for Gear Progression and Useful Cards, so please check that out! The information I will provide for Gear Progression will be more specific to Magic Damage Classes, particularly for DPS Cardinal. As you read through, you can look at the Magic Gear Progression Table on my Guide to Magic. This table will have links that will guide you to the relevant pages.

It may be tempting starting out to want to rush your end-game gear. However, I do not recommend doing this and instead recommend improving your gear gradually, so you can farm more effectively.
After achieving 20% After Cast Delay reduction you're free to pump damage as high as you can, which is exactly what we'll be doing.

Phase Eden
Gear Progression
At Level 100, you can talk with Labraham and Louis at @go Eden to get your Advanced Paradise Gear. These gears will require , , and . <br> Additionally, you can talk with Lucy in the same room to receive your Advanced Paradise Shadow Gear by renting it for 20 Eden Coins for 3 days or buying the set permanently for 230 in total.

Phase One
Based off Celery's Gear Progression Table
Moving forward, your main priority is to see where you can reduce your fixed cast time, and your second priority will be increasing your damage output (for now). <br> Abilities will have a specific Fixed Cast Time and Variable Cast Time. For Arbitrium your fixed cast time is 1s and your Variable Cast time is 4s. <br>

As both of your damaging abilities only have a 1s Fixed Cast Time, the Grace Boots should be enough for now. <br>
For female performers, remember you only need to reach 20% ACD with your equipment, pick whichever combination is most convenient for you to hit 20%!
At Level 170, you will have access to the Illusion of Labyrinth and its related equipment. The Illusion Morpheus Set will provide a good boost in damage, and a +9 will give you Skill Cast Interruption Protection. <br>
Lastly, the Advanced Paradise Equipment does not provide a Middle or Lower Headgear, so getting middle and lower headgears will provide an easy upgrade.

Additionally, while you are leveling as an Arch Bishop, you may want to invest in and as well as and , as both combos will reduce Adoramus Cooldown by 1s each. If you don't want to break the Advanced Paradise Shadow Combo, then you can just get the and combo.
Note: A +11 A grade Dimensions Instrument will be your first major increase in damage, followed by an A-Grade +10 fully enchanted Nebula Robe, and then an A-Grade well-refined Moan of Corruption.<br>
Additionally, the moment you can get a Time Dimensions Rune Crown, it will easily double your dps output even with endgame gears, I strongly recommend making one the moment you have enough reputation for it.<br>
Remember not to neglect cheaper equipment while you work towards these major pieces.

Note: You should only switch off of wickebine's black cat ears after obtaining full master shadow gear, as you will otherwise loose large amounts damage due to not having mdef pierce to bypass monster's mdef stat.<br>
Additionally, I wouldn't recommend building a Vesper Helm unless you believe you absolutely need one, such as if you're doing purely solo play and need the dps to begin farming Depths mobs.<br>
Instead, I recommend trying to buy a Vesper Helm from another player if they're selling it, however, if you believe you can hold on without a Vesper Helm long enough to get a Time Dimensions Rune Crown, it'll be a lot cheaper to go for the Crown directly and skip Vesper.
|Time Dimensions Rune Crown (Troubadour & Trouvere)<br>
The Rune Crown combo with the weapon will spike in damage when the crown is +10 and both items are A-Graded.<br>

It's up to you to decide whether you want to upgrade to 1.5s by getting the with the or whether you want to sit on the until Phase Three. has a 2s Fixed Cast time, but you can worry about that later.

The Brilliant/ Sinful Sapphire Accessory Pairs give a good amount of damage and provide .2s and .3s FCT reduction respectively. With the that gives .3s FCT reduction, you'll have a total of 1s or 1.1s FCT reduction. Additionally, you can get a for .5s FCT reduction. I do not recommend getting a if it's too expensive, as you'll already have enough FCT!<br>
Grace Magic Manteau (If female)
Moving forward, we're just working on damage; let's up those numbers!!

Between the and the , both options are great. provides more damage and provides more tankiness. Generally, will be cheaper, as you can buy the necessary enchantment stones from other players. However, this requires other players to have and be willing to sell those stones, which may not always be the case. , however, requires farming of which may be grindier but more reliable. My recommendation if you plan on going the snow flower route is to make sure that the stones you need for the are available.

Additionally A-grading the manteau can be saved for last in your gear progression, as any grades above C provide very minor stat benefits.<br>
<br>
Death Rune Manteau is more expensive and provides similar damage, if you already have one you won't need to swap to dim glacier but if you don't have one, dim glacier will be cheaper with nearly identical damage output.

# Accessories and Minor Cast Stone
# Armor and Headgears
# Garment and Shoes.

Zeny Tip: Thanatos 11 and 12 are great places to farm at this point and in general, and you'll be able to farm the materials for your accessories. will help tremendously to prevent the debuff effect.

Evil Druid will grant immunity to shadow damage like bathory but will also grant immunity to being frozen, however, it will also come at the cost of being damaged when a Priest attempts to heal you.</br>

The Clown card can also be used on a piece of equipment you swap to rather than your main robe, as you only need to cast the skill periodically.<br>

You will also be sacrificing a very small amount of damage using Senior Rgan by breaking the white knight/khalitzburg combo, but will gain a significant boost to your survivability in return.</br>
While the may seem enticing as being highest dps possible from the shield card slot, you will still want to use a normal defensive card as you will need some amount of durability for most late game content and the damage gained will be inferior to using the combo.<br>

If you get a Golden Thief Bug Card, you can safely replace all your wis with sta, as you will no longer need the mres to tank magical attacks.<br>
Additionally, you will still be able to use self-buffs but will not be able to receive most buffs from party members; for this you may want a shield you can swap off to on your hotbar to quickly receive buffs from party members.

Purple Pitaya is my recommendation for depths as it'll be your main damage type for damaging mobs.

One Eye Dollocaris should only be used on a +12 garment, as it will provide curses instead of boons otherwise.</br>
One Eye Dollocaris, if put on the appropriate garment, will likely be the best card to use for boosting damage output as it provides a 33% boost to selected elements over Friedrich's 24% boost on a +12 garment.</br>
While Friedrich boosts all elements over Dollocaris's select elements, Dollocaris's element pool contains the four most frequently used elements in the game as a Performer, particularly holy and shadow.

While the bio5 Trentini and Alphoccio MVP cards may seem appealing due to granting +20 to all stats, they unfortunately provide no other benefits for magical performer and the damage we would gain from having +20 int is massively overshadowed by the damage gained by more standards cards such as Purple Pitya or One Eye Dollocaris.

As you gain more powerful equipment you'll be able to take on more powerful dungeons and instances.</br>
It can be confusing to know where to start however, but here's my general recommendation for when it's a good idea to start farming a certain dungeon.

Phase Four
The following list does not take elemental bonuses into account, so you'll need to think about that yourself before tackling a certain dungeon if you feel you're ready for it.</br>
We're almost at End Game. Time to make some of the tougher gears. You can skip to Phase Five if you think you can comfortably get the Equipment from Constellation Tower (Hard), Alice Twisted Madness (Hard) and Depth 1 and 2.
With that said, here's my general recommendation for progression:

For Arbitrium, the Time Dimension Combo will be the biggest upgrade for the build, and you will be dropping Vesper Helm for the TD Crown. However, Depth 2 is a very difficult map, so you won't be able to farm there until Phase 5. That being said, feel free to Grade and upgrade your Vesper Helm or keep it at +9 or +12 or continue to use the Survival Circlet-LT until you can get to the TD Combo.

With basic drop rate gear and bubble gum, it should be possible to achieve 50m per hour, however, your zeny/hr depends solely on how fast you can kill monsters.</br>
For this reason, you may not want to use Metallic Fury here and instead use Reverberation as it has a much shorter 0.15s cooldown compared to Metallic Fury's 0.4s cooldown, allowing you to cast it much more often.</br>
Your attack speed with reverberation will depend on how much After Cast Delay reduction you have, if you have fast cast time and fast attack speed, so your equipment will likely differ from your normal gear.

You may want to start with metallic fury until you feel confident you can One Hit kill mobs with Reverberation, at which point continue using reverberation from there.

However, this is not taking into account the various Upgrade Stones which can drop from the biospheres which can be sold for additional profit.</br>
Moreso, you'll obtain a significantly high drop rate on all items once you can begin to 1-hit kill the biosphere monsters.</b>
It should be easily feasible to earn 66 essences, 150 runes and 500 fragments per 25 minutes once you can 1-hit kill biosphere monsters, note that this is with turning in the quest each time it is completed for maximum essences/hr.<br>
The above results were posted per 25 minutes specifically as that's typically how long I take to clear all 15 subjugation quests for a particular biosphere.<br>
Taking raw zeny from killing monsters and npc vending varmundt armor into account, it should be easy to earn 100m/hr this way if the items are sold at the right price. (Ideally at least 400k per essence)

You can turn in these quests 15 times each day per biosphere, to maximize essence drops, you can switch to a different biosphere after you stop getting quest-completion essences from a specific one.

When most of your quests are finished, turn them in, re-accept them from the npc and make your way back to the party as soon as possible, repeat until the party finishes or you need to tap out.

Phase Five
Additionally bring about 100 for every 30m you intend to run in Depths 1 for, they will be useful for healing if you get in danger.
AKA the final phase. Phase Five revolves around the gear you get from Constellation Tower, Alice Twisted Madness, and Biosphere Depths and Depths 2.
The Enchants on the Stellar Spell Seal provide a large boost in VCT reduction that you'll need after losing the Convertible Magical Wing and Wolf Robe. I don't recommend switching out of the Convertible Magical Wing until you get the Stellar Spell Seal fully enchanted and upgraded.

The is the better armor, particularly against bosses. However, you will still likely need before being able to farm Biosphere Depths effectively.
This dungeon will test how effectively you can swap arrow types for damage, so be prepared if you plan to contribute to dps.

The Items from Alice Twisted Madness can provide S.Matk and Magic Damage with Element or provide a lot of VCT Reduction. You should get enchants according to the amount of VCT reduction you need for your build.
When you're finished, you can turn in your to the General Manager at for 3 reputation every 2 documents you hand in.<br>
You'll need to reach 1,000 reputation for engraving Soul Purification Rune Robes and 2,000 reputation to enter Depths 2 for crafting and enchanting Dimensional Items.

For pure damage, is better than due to the power of the Second Slot Enchant. However, the Second Slot Enchant is limited to two races (unless you get the normal/boss enchant). Additionally, the Stellar Seal gives 30% variable cast reduction from a single accessory which is very powerful.
For this instance, you'll want to use fire damage to kill the Spades and holy damage for the bosses as it's their respective weaknesses.

and will still be useful to have due to its race modifiers against dragon which will be very strong against Betelgeuse and Jabberwocky.
Additionally, when you find the portal at the end of the red maze, be careful not to enter as it will closely shortly after a party member steps inside of it.<br>

Miscellaneous Advice
This section is dedicated to other pieces of useful information which doesn't quite fit anywhere else.</br>
Let's get started
* Free Bubble Gum & Buff Potions
** You can earn free bubble gum, battle manuals and buff potions by completing eden board quests and trading your eden coins in at the Eden Vending Machine .
** My preferred way to farm eden coins is in Abyss 4, by taking the Abyss 4 eden board quest and the main office Abyss Lakes 4 quests as you can farm and simultaneously.
** However, the fastest place to farm solely eden coins is Varmundt Power Plant 2 due to the significantly higher monster density.
* Casual MVP farming
** Field MVPs can be fun to hunt, but remember use a bubblegum when you go to hunt them, BBG is nearly free thanks to Eden Board farming and a 0.08% MVP card drop rate is a lot better than 0.04%.
** Further on this note, if used with guyak pudding, a single bubble gum is enough to clear all of Endless Tower or Endless Cellar.
** MVPs also frequently drop , and which are useful materials.
** Random MVP drops such as and are also useful for shadow gears, so shouldn't be abandoned.
* Bloody Branch Popping
** Are you rich and want to gamble for an MVP card?
** If you have a large amount of bloody branches, you can pop a HE Bubble Gum and spam bloody branches for a chance at an MVP card.
** On average, you'll usually want about 1,000 branches for 1 MVP card using this method, since while you'll have a 0.12% chance to drop a card on each MVP, not all MVPs spawned from the branch drop an MVP card.
** You'll want to equip , and to gain 25% extra drop chance as well, this will turn your 0.12% MVP card drop rate into a 0.13% rate, not a major increase but it might be the difference between getting a GTB or just getting hot air.
*** You can use any of the 10% drop rate shoes from royal hunting, I just use sol here as an example.
* Want to over-refine your gear to +15?
** My advice is don't, at least at first.
** I recommend only pushing your gear to +15 after you have all the MVP cards you want, over-refining provides very little damage for most items compared to the cost of refining them above +12.
** If you have all the MVP cards you want and you're ready to push your gear to +15, you'll want around 3b zeny worth of BSB to push through to it.
* Fly Wings or Teleport Skill?
** While fly wings don't require a dedicated gear slot, they come with a short delay before casting teleport.
** Because of this teleporting using the skill itself, such as with a creamy card, is much faster than using fly wings.

Introduction

Hi, I'm Conga Lyne, a performer main, hopefully this guide will help you along your journey playing the performer classes!
Take note, the main appeal to performer is the large utility and party potential it provides while still remaining independent, this is a class played out of love.
You won't have the same DPS as meta classes like Ranger and Arch Mage, but still have more than enough damage (3b+ dps) to tackle all content with the right gear.

This guide will also focus on magical dps Performer, specifically the skill Metallic Fury, I will be focusing on the skill as it is spammable, has a large AoE, can be any element and has low entry requirements.
If you need any direct help, you can most likely find me in the #archer channel on discord or as "Cute Boy Conga" ingame, I might take a while to respond so sending an RODex may be more convenient for both of us.

With all that said, let's get into it.

Leveling

Going from level 0 to 200 is your first major goal, silver arrows will be the most useful throughout most areas of play.

Something that will help you significantly early on is eden group gear, you can attain eden group equipment by first joining the eden group after talking to Secretary Lime Evenor (moc_para01 27, 35), and then talking to the various equipment masters at (moc_para01 107, 79).
Start from the bottom and work your way towards the top, I recommend gathering the items for Louis's free advanced items, but find it easier to spend 10 eden group coins on Labraham's advanced weapon.
You can use the @wd <item name>, and @wi <monster name> commands to find where to locate the required materials.

You can get normal eden group equipment at any level and advanced eden group equipment at level 100.

Level Map Quests Notes
0-10 Prontera Plains (prt_fild08 340, 215) None
10-40 Ant Hell

(anthell01 35, 262)

none Focus on killing the eggs as they won't fight back.
40-70 Orc Dungeon

(orcsdun01 32, 170)

None
70-99 Glastheim Monastery

(gl_church 156, 7)

Eden Board level 70-99 board quest (15x Wraith & Evil Druid)

100-130 Illusion of Moonlight

(pay_d03_i 140, 44)

(gef_d01_i 115, 216)

100x of any type in Illusion of Vampire

(gef_d01_i 124, 237)

160-200 Verus Outskirts

(ver_tunn 13, 35)

Hunt 50x recon robot

(moc_para01 52, 37)

If you find someone offering a level 180+ leech and you're level 180 or above, I recommend taking their offer.

When this happens, you want to accept the illusion of underwater board quests in the main office (main_office 123, 36), go to illusion of underwater floor 2 (speak to Jerry in illusion of underwater floor 1), wait until the quest is finished, turn in your quest for exp, and repeat until the leech is finished or you reach your desired level. Remember to change your job at level 200!

If they specifically say they're doing einbech 3 instead, then just navigate to einbech 3. (ein_dun02 25, 250)

Also at level 180, you can turn in Thanatos fragments for exp at the main office quest board, you won't be able to farm these items yourself but can usually purchase them from other players at a cheap price.

200-220 Illusion of Underwater Floor 2

(iz_d05_i 142, 188)

100x of any type in Illusion of Underwater Floor 2

(main_office 123, 36)

Niflheim Dungeon floor 1 is a much faster place to level up, but you'll want gear that can hit at least 20m dps before trying to tackle it.
220+ Abyss Lakes Floor 4

(abyss_04 169, 160)

All Abyss Lakes 4 quests

(main_office 123, 36)

Hunt 240x of any type in Abyss floor 4 (moc_para01 52, 37)

This is also a convenient way to farm eden coins

Once you have proper endgame gear, you can farm Varmundt Biospheres once you're level 240 and Varmundt Depths floor 1 when you're 250

Recommended leveling skills:

  • 1st job: Double Strafe, Arrow Shower
  • 2nd job: Throw Arrow, Arrow Vulcan
  • 3rd job: Reverberation
  • 4th job: Metallic Fury

After you have a reliable zeny income, you can make a +10 1702.png Bow [4] (1702) and fill it with 4428.png Bow Guardian Card (4428) to make leveling up future Performers a lot faster.

Trouvere stat & trait assignment

For stats, you want to max int, dex, spl and con (addenddum: max spl & con stats are now 110 as of writing)
You should get a healthy amount of vit & agi for durability and fast animation speed, and dumb left over points into str, wis for carry weight & additional durability.
There aren't any specific tricks to pay attention to when playing Troubadour or Trouvere, just remember to keep your buffs up.
The songs you choose however, do matter.

  • 45.png Improve Concentration

Starting on 1st job and working our way to 4th, we'll max out our passive skills and attention concentrate for as many stat buffs as possible from the archer job, leftover job points can be dumped into the 1st job damage skills.

2nd job skills
On 2nd job and onwards our skills will vary depending on the gender.

  • 321.png Poem of Bragi and 320.png Assassin Cross of Sunset
  • 329.png Fortune's Kiss and 330.png Service For You
  • 5068.png Skillful Professional Musician
  • 323.png Dancing Lesson or 315.png Musical Lesson

For Male performers, you should get Poem of Bragi and your favourite song of choice (I recommend Assassin Cross of Sunset for GM events)
For Female performers, you should get Fortune's Kiss and Service For You, you won't use Fortune's Kiss outside of party play, but Service For You will be very useful for SP conservation while farming.
Skillful Professional Musician is also a critical skill to get for both classes, as well as reaching max level with Dance Lessons for more passive stat bonuses.

3rd job skills

  • 2413.png Metallic Sound
  • 2412.png Lesson
  • 2350.png Swing Dance or 2382.png Echo Song
  • 5007.png Frigg's Song
  • 2427.png Song of Mana
  • 2434.png Unlimited Humming Voice
  • 2414.png Reverberation

For 3rd job, you should get Metallic Sound to level 5 as we'll need it for later, additionally, reach max level with Voice Lessons.
Depending on your gender, you'll either be getting Swing Dance or Echo Song.
Make sure to also grab Frigg's Song, Song of Mana and Unlimited Humming Voice.

Song of mana will be very useful for farming dungeons as it can single handedly supply your mana if continuously recast when off cooldown.
Unlimited humming voice will be useful for when we need a large amount of damage, such as when fighting an MVP or powerful group of mobs.
Frigg's Song will likely only be used when fighting enemies who deal a large amount of damage such as Depths mobs and is useful for those circumstances.
Reverberation is also a useful skill to have for GM events.

4th job skills

  • 5356.png Metallic Fury
  • 5357.png Sound Blend
  • 5349.png Stage Manner
  • 5352.png Sonata of Kvasir
  • 5351.png Mystic Symphony
  • 5362.png Serenade of Jawaii
  • 5364.png March of Prontera

Finally for 4th job, we mainly care about maxing Metallic Fury, Sound Blend and Stage Manners.
Sound Blend will be critical for killing bosses and strong enemies as it puts a debuff on it's victims which causes them to take increased damage from Metallic Fury.
Also be sure to grab Mystic Symphony and Sonata of Kvasir, afterwards you can grab as many songs as you like.
I recommend assigning Serenade of Jawaii and March of Prontera to max level as well, as they will be your main 4th job buff skills for yourself and your party.
They won't be as significant as most 2nd and 3rd job skills are, but will provide useful benefits and become stronger if a fellow performer is in your party!
If you're alone, Chorus and Ensemble songs such as song of mana and invulnerable siegfred usually require a second performer to sing, but Sonata of Kvasir lets us cast them solo.

Gameplay (Arrows)

As stated in the previous section, there aren't too many tricks to be aware of, just be sure to keep your buffs up and you'll be fine.

The only thing to be weary of is what arrow you currently have equipped as it will determine what element Metallic Fury uses.
Some enemies are immune to certain elements, while others may take 200% damage when using the right element against them.
Every enemy has a unique element you'll need to be conscious of which you can check using @mi <monstername> ingame (for example @mi Moonlight Flower), or by searching them on Divine Pride.

For the most part, holy damage is generally effective against almost all creatures except holy element enemies.
I recommend keeping different arrows on your hotbar to quickly swap between them when needed, as you can easily double your damage by using the right arrow or loose 75% of it by using the wrong one.

Use whatever feels most comfortable for you.

Gameplay (Maximizing Damage from Skills)

Metallic fury is our bread and butter for doing damage, however by itself it can only do so much.

Of course, we can combine these for a multiplicative bonus of 168% damage for a 168k damage Metallic Fury, without even taking elemental vulnerabilities into account which will provide us with even more damage.

As always also remember to add on Serenade of Jawaii for extra damage on top!

Stat Goals

Most classes will need to hit certain amounts of fixed cast time or after cast delay before maximizing their damage, but performers only need 20% After Cast Delay (ACD) to get the most out of their main dps skill Metallic Fury.
Poem of Bragi can provide 30% for free, but is only accessible to male performers.
If you are pursuing the path of being a Trouvere rather than a Troubadour, you will need to find a way to achieve 20% ACD through equipment alone.

New Wave Sunglasses are very useful for giving 10% ACD and an illusion Silver Guard can provide an additional 5% if refined to +10 using Illusion Refinement Boxes. The remaining after cast delay reduction can be achieve through dim glacier weapons, but can prove to be very expensive to obtain early on.
A cheaper option to consider might be the Sinful accessories as their set bonus provides 5% ACD reduction and do not need to be enchanted to provide this effect.

Combining New Wave Sun Glasses, Sinful Accessories and a +10 Illusion Silver Guard, you can achieve 20% ACD as a trouvere without Poem of Bragi.

Here are some other potential combinations to reach 20% ACD:

  • Convertible Magical Wing + Victory Wing Ears
    • 15%: Convertible Magical Wing + Victory Wing Ears Combo
    • 4% Victory Wing Ears
    • Note: This will only grant 19% ACD, but you'll only be short by 0.05 seconds so it will only have a small impact on dps.
  • New Wave Sunglasses + Isaac Wigner + Thanatos Accessories
    • 10% : New Wave Sunglasses
    • 5% : Isaac Wigner
    • 5% : Thanatos accessories combo
  • Death Rune Manteau + Shield + Isaac Wigner
    • 10% : Dim Glacier Manteau +11
    • 5% : +10 Illusion Silver Guard or Mad Bunny-LT[A] or Mad Bunny-LT Enchantment
    • 5% : Isaac Wigner
  • Isaac Wigner + Illusion Silver Guard + New Wave Sunglasses
    • 5% : Isaac Wigner
    • 5% : +10 Illusion Silver Guard or Mad Bunny-LT[A] or Mad Bunny-LT Enchantment
    • 10% : New Wave Sunglasses
  • Other items of note
    • 1% - 10% : Gambler's Seal can be enchanted for variable amounts of ACD reduction.
    • 5% : Reload Stone (Dual)

After achieving 20% After Cast Delay reduction you're free to pump damage as high as you can, which is exactly what we'll be doing.

Gear Progression

Based off Celery's Gear Progression Table

For female performers, remember you only need to reach 20% ACD with your equipment, pick whichever combination is most convenient for you to hit 20%!

Note: A +11 A grade Dimensions Instrument will be your first major increase in damage, followed by an A-Grade +10 fully enchanted Nebula Robe, and then an A-Grade well-refined Moan of Corruption.
Additionally, the moment you can get a Time Dimensions Rune Crown, it will easily double your dps output even with endgame gears, I strongly recommend making one the moment you have enough reputation for it.
Remember not to neglect cheaper equipment while you work towards these major pieces.

Gear Slots Beginner Early Game Mid Game Endgame Post-Endgame
Upper Headgear Advanced Eden Headgear Wickebine's Black Cat Ears-LT

+7 Ungraded will be good enough.

Wickebine's Black Cat Ears-LT Vesper Helm

Note: You should only switch off of wickebine's black cat ears after obtaining full master shadow gear, as you will otherwise loose large amounts damage due to not having mdef pierce to bypass monster's mdef stat.
Additionally, I wouldn't recommend building a Vesper Helm unless you believe you absolutely need one, such as if you're doing purely solo play and need the dps to begin farming Depths mobs.
Instead, I recommend trying to buy a Vesper Helm from another player if they're selling it, however, if you believe you can hold on without a Vesper Helm long enough to get a Time Dimensions Rune Crown, it'll be a lot cheaper to go for the Crown directly and skip Vesper.

Time Dimensions Rune Crown (Troubadour & Trouvere)

The Rune Crown combo with the weapon will spike in damage when the crown is +10 and both items are A-Graded.
For the 3rd slot enchant anything which boosts s.matk is acceptable, but you will want magic essence for the 2nd slot enchantment.

You can also enchant the weapon for additional damage.

Dim Glacier instruments aren't worse than dimensional instruments without taking the crown combo into account, but dimensions weapons have nearly equal damage and are a lot cheaper to make as they don't need enchantments to compete.

The choice between mad bunny & glacier guard depends on what your build needs.

For Dim Glacier try to get max level enchants on matk and def, the enchantments themselves won't matter as much as their combo with Grace of the Snake God.
Additionally A-grading the manteau can be saved for last in your gear progression, as any grades above C provide very minor stat benefits.

Death Rune Manteau is more expensive and provides similar damage, if you already have one you won't need to swap to dim glacier but if you don't have one, dim glacier will be cheaper with nearly identical damage output.

It will be expensive but the 25% racial modifier it provides at max level along with the other benefits is the best in slot option for this accessory slot.
Due to the very high price, I recommend saving this for last.

Additionally, 300456.png Icewind Egg Card (300456) and 27396.png Isaac Wigner Card (27396) can be used to help reach 20% ACD for female performers.

300377.png [MVP] Ultra Limacina Card (300377) , 4528.png [MVP] Mutant Coelacanth Card (4528) Both headgear slot MVP cards will provide a very minor damage boost compared to other MVP options.
For this reason it's recommended to pursue other MVP cards first.
Armor 4119.png Bathory Card (4119) , 4141.png Evil Druid Card (4141) , 4054.png Angeling Card (4054) , 4409.png Agav Card (4409) , 300376.png Two Eyes Dollocaris (300376) or 300308.png Meyer Lugenburg Card (300308) 4560.png [MVP] Clown Alphoccio Card (4560) , 300472.png [MVP] Demigod Lasgand Card (300472) Two-Eye Dollocaris should only be used on +12 armor, as it will provide curses instead of boons otherwise.

Exercise caution when using the Meyer Lugenberg card, as it can cause SP consumption to be higher than what is sustainable with Song of Mana, which can be troublesome if farming without a 23203.png Small Mana Potion (23203) .
Evil Druid will grant immunity to shadow damage like bathory but will also grant immunity to being frozen, however, it will also come at the cost of being damaged when a Priest attempts to heal you.
The Clown Alphoccio MVP card will only be useful on female performers, as male performers already have the skill Poem of Bragi.
The Clown card can also be used on a piece of equipment you swap to rather than your main robe, as you only need to cast the skill periodically.

If you're looking for a first expensive MVP card to get, Lasgand will drastically increase your damage thanks to it's 40% boss mod and other modifiers, I recommend prioritizing this if you have the zeny to spare.

Weapon 27384.png Mutating White Knight Card (27384) or 300455.png Copo Card (300455) The Copo Card is best used with the Icewind Card, otherwise you will have no size multiplier against large size enemies.
Shield 27385.png Mutating Khalitzburg Card (27385) or 300465.png Elite Rgan Guardian Card (300465) 4128.png [MVP] Golden Thief Bug Card (4128) Modified Senior Rgan should only be used on a +12 shield, as it will provide curses instead of boons otherwise.

You will also be sacrificing a very small amount of damage using Senior Rgan by breaking the white knight/khalitzburg combo, but will gain a significant boost to your survivability in return.
While the 4636.png [MVP] Bijou Card (4636) may seem enticing as being highest dps possible from the shield card slot, you will still want to use a normal defensive card as you will need some amount of durability for most late game content and the damage gained will be inferior to using the 27385.png Mutating Khalitzburg Card (27385) combo.

If you get a Golden Thief Bug Card, you can safely replace all your wis with sta, as you will no longer need the mres to tank magical attacks.
Additionally, you will still be able to use self-buffs but will not be able to receive most buffs from party members; for this you may want a shield you can swap off to on your hotbar to quickly receive buffs from party members.

Garment 300260.png Napeo Card (300260) , 300123.png Purple Pitaya Card (300123) , 300424.png Friedrich S. Heine Card (300424) or 300375.png One Eye Dollocaris Card (300375) Any 100% elemental boost card, best being Himmelmez, Aquila as 2nd best for it's poison element modifier. Napeo is a good budget option, but should be replaced once a better card is available.

Purple Pitaya is my recommendation for depths as it'll be your main damage type for damaging mobs.

One Eye Dollocaris should only be used on a +12 garment, as it will provide curses instead of boons otherwise.
One Eye Dollocaris, if put on the appropriate garment, will likely be the best card to use for boosting damage output as it provides a 33% boost to selected elements over Friedrich's 24% boost on a +12 garment.

Footgear 4658.png Nightmare Verit Card (4658) , 300458.png Icewind Card (300458) or 300292.png Extra Joker Card (300292) 4441.png [MVP] Falling Bishop Card (4441) , 300248.png [MVP] Death Witch Card (300248) The Icewind card is only the best in slot if used with a Copo card
Accessory 300448.png Dispol Card (300448) , 300218.png Ashhopper Card (300218) , 4577.png Elvira Card (4577) , 27125.png Headless Mule Card (27125) , 300470.png Icebear Card (300470) or 4040.png Creamy Card (4040) The creamy card can teleport faster than flywings as the skill has no use delay when cast, but consumes an accessory slot which could be used to improve damage.

As an alternative, teleport shadow gear can also provide the skill without taking up an accessory slot, however, you will likely ultimately prefer the extra shadow gear slot with endgame equipment.

Dungeon/Instance Progression

Note: This list assumes you're using Guyak Pudding, Bubble Gum and the Teleport Spell for dungeon farming.
DPS references are done using the Main Office dummies, dps may be different in dungeon due to various factors but main office dummies will serve as a safe and consistent reference.

As you gain more powerful equipment you'll be able to take on more powerful dungeons and instances.
It can be confusing to know where to start however, but here's my general recommendation for when it's a good idea to start farming a certain dungeon.

The following list does not take elemental bonuses into account, so you'll need to think about that yourself before tackling a certain dungeon if you feel you're ready for it.
With that said, here's my general recommendation for progression:

Note this segment is due for revision, please double check the market value of these items in-game by using @ws <itemname>

Location Damage Output Notable Drops Zeny Gained & Notes
GM Events 0 dps Muh Coins Varies depending on market price.

Geffenia 100k damage per Metallic Fury Almost everything Every item earned here is NPC vendable, it is recommended to have a fully leveled haggler pass or have a merchant character you can move your items to before selling for 24% extra zeny per item.

With basic drop rate gear and bubble gum, it should be possible to achieve 50m per hour, however, your zeny/hr depends solely on how fast you can kill monsters.
For this reason, you may not want to use Metallic Fury here and instead use Reverberation as it has a much shorter 0.15s cooldown compared to Metallic Fury's 0.4s cooldown, allowing you to cast it much more often.

As of writing, 1400 fragments can be consistently gained per hour with Bubble Gum & Guyak Pudding.
Assuming they're sold at 40,000 zeny each, this can earn 56m zeny per hour
Combined with raw zeny earned from killing monsters, you can easily boost this up to 67m zeny per hour.

Challenge Old Glast Heim 100m dps 25866.png Temporal Spell (25866) , 25867.png Temporal Fragment (25867) Varies depending on market price.

As of writing, 21 fragments can be consistently gained per run at Challenge 10.
Assuming they're sold at 600,000 zeny each, this can earn 12.6m zeny per run
Additional item drops such as temporal circlet, spell fragments, temporal gemstones and NPC vendable items like 6610.png Glast Horrendous Mouth (6610) and 6609.png Glast Decayed Nail (6609) can also add to the zeny per run.
You will need to play the easier tiers to unlock the more difficult levels of the instance with more rewards, so you may need to do a few runs before you can gain the full rewards from this instance.

Niflheim Dungeon Floor 2 100m dps 12103.png Bloody Branch (12103) , 25729.png Shadowdecon (25729) , 25731.png Zelunium (25731) , 1000322.png Etel Dust (1000322) Varies depending on market price.

As of writing, 20 branches can be gained on average per hour with Bubble Gum & Guyak Pudding using sub optimal gear.
With optimal gear (to 1 shot grotes), it's possible to earn an verage of 40 bloody branches per hour.
Assuming they're sold at 1.5m zeny each, this can earn 75m zeny per hour.
Taking the raw zeny gained from killing monsters (18m) and assuming you earn 200 Zelunium sold at 85k each (17m)
It isn't unreasonable to gain 65m per hour on average depending on the market rate for each item.

You may need a 50035.png The One Potion (50035) to farm here until you gain better equipment to easily deal with mobs without the need of buff items.
Note that the monsters here have a very high amount of MDEF, so you will need some source of 100% mdef pierce to properly fight the monsters here.

200 Shadowdecon per hour, assuming they're sold at 38,000 zeny each, gives 7.6m zeny
Combining everything together, it shouldn't be unreasonable to farm at least 94m zeny per hour here
You can increase your income by equipping Item Drop Rate Gear for more NPC vendable items, Shadowdecon and Zelunium

It is recommended to have a fully leveled haggler pass or have a merchant character you can move your items to before selling for 24% extra zeny per item.

As of writing, 23m raw zeny can be earnt per hour, combined with an average of 50 essences (at 300k ea), 200 runes (at 29k ea) and 10m from NPC vending Engraved Orlean/Varmundt Rune equipment drops, it shouldn't be unreasonable to make at least 53m per hour with an undergeared setup.
However, this is not taking into account the various Upgrade Stones which can drop from the biospheres which can be sold for additional profit.
Moreso, you'll obtain a significantly high drop rate on all items once you can begin to 1-hit kill the biosphere monsters. It should be easily feasible to earn 66 essences, 150 runes and 500 fragments per 25 minutes once you can 1-hit kill biosphere monsters, note that this is with turning in the quest each time it is completed for maximum essences/hr.
The above results were posted per 25 minutes specifically as that's typically how long I take to clear all 15 subjugation quests for a particular biosphere.
Taking raw zeny from killing monsters and npc vending varmundt armor into account, it should be easy to earn 100m/hr this way if the items are sold at the right price. (Ideally at least 400k per essence)

Be sure to check which biosphere items sell best on the market before farming.
You may need a 50035.png The One Potion (50035) to farm here until you gain better equipment to easily deal with mobs without the need of buff items.
Note that the monsters here have a very high amount of MDEF, so you will need some source of 100% mdef pierce to properly fight the monsters here.
Remember to repeatedly turn in the biosphere quest for a guaranteed 2 essences from the related biosphere each time.
You can turn in these quests 15 times each day per biosphere, to maximize essence drops, you can switch to a different biosphere after you stop getting quest-completion essences from a specific one.

Depths Floor 1 (Party Dps) 200m dps All monster drops It is difficult to calculate zeny per hour due to the various items drops from the dungeon, instead this section will focus on the reputation gained per hour instead.

Depths 1 Reputation per hour varies depending on the party, however 200 per hour should be a reasonable estimate with a good party.
For maximum reputation farming, take all quests from the npc at (ba_in01 309, 45) and try to keep going until most of your quests are complete.
When most of your quests are finished, turn them in, re-accept them from the npc and make your way back to the party as soon as possible, repeat until the party finishes or you need to tap out.

Before stepping into the dungeon, make sure you have some 50035.png The One Potion (50035) for survivability, 12710.png Guyak Pudding (12710) to keep up with the group and a few 6316.png [Bound] Token of Siegfried (6316) to revive yourself incase you die.
The One Potion and Siegfried Tokens can be bought with eden coins at (moc_para01 51, 31) and 12710.png Guyak Pudding (12710) can be bought for cheap on the market, you can look at the market using @ws <itemname> or @ws <itemID>.

Additionally bring about 100 1100005.png Concentrated Golden Syrup Potion (1100005) for every 30m you intend to run in Depths 1 for, they will be useful for healing if you get in danger.

This dungeon will test how effectively you can swap arrow types for damage, so be prepared if you plan to contribute to dps.

When you're finished, you can turn in your 1001289.png Depth Level 1 Research Document (1001289) to the General Manager at (ba_in01 292, 103) for 3 reputation every 2 documents you hand in.
You'll need to reach 1,000 reputation for engraving Soul Purification Rune Robes and 2,000 reputation to enter Depths 2 for crafting and enchanting Dimensional Items.

Be sure to avoid selling any Temple, Purification or Soul related Depths items as we will be needing them for enchanting Robes once we have enough reputation.

Alice Twisted Madness Hard (Party Dps) 200m dps All monster drops Alice Hard is an instance which requires a party to complete, you'll want a source of magic dps (yourself), a source of physical ranged dps, a source of physical melee dps, someone to tank (elemental master) and preferably an AB to help as well.

If your party can complete the instance in under 20 minutes, you'll be rewarded with a 1001082.png Monster's Stone (1001082) which sells for 10m zeny as of writing.
Otherwise, you can earn a plentiful amount of 1001079.png Monstrous Tentacles (1001079) which can sell for 200,000 zeny each as of writing.

Your job will be to kill the vine monsters called Spades as they will only be vulnerable to magical damage, while your physical damage dealer handles the Absolem.
Additionally the final boss of the instance, the Jabbawocky, will only be vulnerable to magical damage in phase 1, but switch to being vulnerable to physical damage in phase 2.

For this instance, you'll want to use fire damage to kill the Spades and holy damage for the bosses as it's their respective weaknesses.

Additionally, when you find the portal at the end of the red maze, be careful not to enter as it will closely shortly after a party member steps inside of it.
Tell them the location of the portal and until your party is together, then step in the portal all at once to make sure no-one's left behind.

The items from this instance will be useful for upgrading your Mad Bunny shield into a Mad Bunny-LT, as well as crafting some other headgear accessories.

Depths Floor 1 (solo dps) 1b dps All monster drops All the advice from the party dps section also applies here, by the point you have 1b dps you'll likely already have the Time Dimensions crown from depths 2 and won't need the reputation.

The main resource to farm here are Temple, Purification and Soul related items to craft Soul Purification Rune Robes.
All other items can be vended.

Remember to bring a 50035.png The One Potion (50035) and 12264.png [Bound] Bubble Gum (12264) now that you're the main dps source.
Neutral element arrows will be faster to kill with over arrow switching as they can both damage almost every creature in the dungeon.
Additionally, since every enemy here is a boss-type creature, 4253.png Alice Card (4253) and 9134.png White Knight Egg (9134) are both very effective for damage reduction and increasing your own damage output.

Depths Floor 2 (party dps) 1b dps All Time Dimensions Ingredients

For example:41245.png Dimension Weapon Box (41245) , 1001555.png Abyss Magic Rune (1001555) and 1001556.png Time Dimension Magic Rune (1001556)

Note: You don't need 1b dps to get into most D2 parties, but 1b dps is more or less you minimum you want to effectively kill monsters.

All the advice from the depths 1 party dps section also applies here, however, you will likely also want to bring 523.png Holy Water (523) to remove the curse status effect frequently afflicted here.
I strongly recommend sticking to neutral arrows in most scenarios due to large variety in monster elements in the dungeon.

The amount you can gain will vary depending on your party, but you can typically expect around 60 1001555.png Abyss Magic Rune (1001555) and 20 1001556.png Time Dimension Magic Rune (1001556) per hour assuming your party completes the 3,000 kills quest within the hour.

I recommend using @aloottype +6, along with @autoloot 0 and @alootid +41245|1001555|1001556 to only pick up the useful crafting ingredients in this dungeon.
Remember to turn in your 450 kills quest frequently as it will reward a 1001556.png Time Dimension Magic Rune (1001556) each time, you can ask your party what position they're closest to when you need to re-enter the portal for a shorter trip back to the group.

Depths Floor 2 (solo dps) 4b dps, 4128.png [MVP] Golden Thief Bug Card (4128) All Time Dimensions Ingredients

For example:41245.png Dimension Weapon Box (41245) , 1001555.png Abyss Magic Rune (1001555) and 1001556.png Time Dimension Magic Rune (1001556)

All advice from the party section applies but it is important to note that you will want a Golden Thief Bug Card to effectively solo here due to the very high magic damage the monsters put out.

Without a GTB Card you will die frequently before you can get consistent runs off.
You will likely require an MVP card that greatly boosts your damage output such as 300472.png [MVP] Demigod Lasgand Card (300472) to have enough DPS to solo efficiently here.
Additionally you should focus down the Flame Ghost, Salamander and Mosquito in that order;
The flame ghost will remove your GTB card effect with a debuff and the Salamander & Mosquito can both deal heavy melee damage with sonic blow, prioritizing them is crucial.

To maintain mana, hp and improve your overall chances I strongly recommend bringing a 50035.png The One Potion (50035) .

Like in the party section, I recommend using @aloottype +6, along with @autoloot 0 and @alootid +41245|1001555|1001556 to only pick up the useful crafting ingredients in this dungeon.

Miscellaneous Advice

This section is dedicated to other pieces of useful information which doesn't quite fit anywhere else.
Let's get started

  • Free Bubble Gum & Buff Potions
    • You can earn free bubble gum, battle manuals and buff potions by completing eden board quests and trading your eden coins in at the Eden Vending Machine (moc_para01 51, 31).
    • My preferred way to farm eden coins is in Abyss 4, by taking the Abyss 4 eden board quest (moc_para01 52, 37) and the main office Abyss Lakes 4 quests (main_office 123, 36) as you can farm 25223.png Eden Coin (25223) and 50001.png Forgotten Heirloom (50001) simultaneously.
    • However, the fastest place to farm solely eden coins is Varmundt Power Plant 2 due to the significantly higher monster density.
  • Casual MVP farming
    • Field MVPs can be fun to hunt, but remember use a bubblegum when you go to hunt them, BBG is nearly free thanks to Eden Board farming and a 0.08% MVP card drop rate is a lot better than 0.04%.
    • Further on this note, if used with guyak pudding, a single bubble gum is enough to clear all of Endless Tower or Endless Cellar.
    • MVPs also frequently drop 50034.png Shadow Crate (50034) , 25729.png Shadowdecon (25729) and 25731.png Zelunium (25731) which are useful materials.
    • Random MVP drops such as 968.png Heroic Emblem (968) and 25629.png Knot Letter (25629) are also useful for shadow gears, so shouldn't be abandoned.
  • Bloody Branch Popping
    • Are you rich and want to gamble for an MVP card?
    • If you have a large amount of bloody branches, you can pop a HE Bubble Gum and spam bloody branches for a chance at an MVP card.
    • On average, you'll usually want about 1,000 branches for 1 MVP card using this method, since while you'll have a 0.12% chance to drop a card on each MVP, not all MVPs spawned from the branch drop an MVP card.
    • You'll want to equip 19095.png Happy Balloon (19095) , 19117.png Poring Sunglasses (19117) and 22049.png Sol Shoes [1] (22049) to gain 25% extra drop chance as well, this will turn your 0.12% MVP card drop rate into a 0.13% rate, not a major increase but it might be the difference between getting a GTB or just getting hot air.
      • You can use any of the 10% drop rate shoes from royal hunting, I just use sol here as an example.
  • Want to over-refine your gear to +15?
    • My advice is don't, at least at first.
    • I recommend only pushing your gear to +15 after you have all the MVP cards you want, over-refining provides very little damage for most items compared to the cost of refining them above +12.
    • If you have all the MVP cards you want and you're ready to push your gear to +15, you'll want around 3b zeny worth of BSB to push through to it.
  • Fly Wings or Teleport Skill?
    • While fly wings don't require a dedicated gear slot, they come with a short delay before casting teleport.
    • Because of this teleporting using the skill itself, such as with a creamy card, is much faster than using fly wings.
