Hello everybody! I'm Lxna, I have played ragnarok for many years but this year I started pushing myself into getting better at the game, understanding mechanics, and helping others so we always have a community to grow together. I started MuhRo around August 24, and since then i've been growing stronger, farming and making some friends on my journey. I have started as an Imperial Guard but I had to make a new character because I was having trouble farming late end game maps, because there's lots of holy immune mobs.

Stats
Generally, stats should be based on what best suits you. As such, I won't provide my exact Stat distribution, as you should update yours accordingly.
I will post my attributes, but adjust conform your necessity!! I use max int and dex because i close my vct using stats instead of %! More on that later.

Make sure to have at least 105 SPL/CON and 125 int for gear buffs.

Int: Provides the highest bonus in StatusMATK. It also provides the second-highest reduction in Variable Cast Time.<br>Dex: Provides the third-highest bonus in StatusMATK. It also provides the highest reduction in Variable Cast Time from stats. Early on, you will want a lot of Dex, as your gear may not provide the VCT reduction you need. Later on, it will be a lower priority.
Variable Cast Time (VCT)
Once we reach end game, to continue pushing our dps we will need to get 100% VCT and some ACDR on our gear.

Luk: Provides the second-highest bonus in StatusMATK. Personal preference, but i usuaully go with more luk than dex, as it also increases our chance of magic dodge using prestige.
You can achieve 100% VCT in two ways:

Vit: Provides a lot of tankiness through HP, SoftDEF, and SoftMDEF.
* Having 530 points in stats, as each 1 dex = 2 points and 1 int = 1 point;
* Having 100% VCT % reduction in your gear;

Agi: Provides some additional tankiness by providing FLEE, and the ATKSPD improves DPS by reducing Cast animation.
You can not combine both, otherwise you will never reach 100%.

Str: Provides additional weight capacity which will help for farming.<br><br>
Currently, i'm testing getting the 100% VCT using the stats method as I still don't have the Stellar Seal fully enchanted to test which one is better. I reach the required stats in this way:

Traits are additional stats that provide bonuses for fourth classes. Traits are bit more straightforward:

<br>SPL (110): Provides the highest bonus in S.MATK and your abilities will additionally scale off SPL.<br>CON (110): Provides the second-highest bonus in S.MATK.<br>WIS (72): CON already provided us with flee rate and we have means to mitigate physical damage with cards and xxxxxx so it's better to put out points in WIS as it will increase our Magical Resistance<br>

Moving forward, your main priority is to see where you can reduce your fixed cast time, and your second priority will be increasing your damage output (for now).

only has 1.5s Fixed Casting Time (FCT) and has 0.5 FCT and 6s Variable Casting Time (VCT), so at this point we should have at least 120 points in INT and DEX to help reduce VCT.
Your best skill for leveling is and you can alternate that with and due high CDs.

You should start progressing through the story to unlock all the maps and instances, and if this is your first character ever you will need to do it, so you can just buy the episode unlock with further characters!

Nebula x Soul Rune - Stats Comparison
Comparison made with a +12 [A] and +12 [A], assuming you have at least 120 INT and 105 SPL:

As we can see, Soul Rune gives a little more damage overall than Nebula because of the added SPL which converts to S.MATK, but Soul Rune gives tons of defence and utility, which Nebula does not. Important to say that Soul Rune gives % Magical Damage against Boss class which IS HUGE in depth farming as we don't have a lot of that in our stats and it will multiply a lot better than all elemental damage%.

EM Dragon Tanking build by Choi
Gear
Elemental Master's have access to a very unique build due to its access to , which paired with the right gear allows you to have 100% resistance to damage from dragon race monsters. This is incredibly useful for Constellation Tower where Betelgeuse, the MVP of the instance, is dragon, allowing you to have a cheap and effective build to tank him.

The main focus of the gear is using the Dragon Resistance from the Abyss Lakes Equipment and Enchants and the  Sinful Accessories Combo. The , , and will also provide needed dragon resistance.

The goal is to get 100% dragon resistance with the 20% resistance from , so when enchanting the Abyss Lake Equipment and Magic Absorber, you don't need perfect rolls on the enchants but just enough to get 100%. The rest of your gear should focus on getting at least 1s fixed cast reduction for LP, Tankiness, and VCT reduction.

Thank you to Chuchu for teaching me this build!!

The main Shadow gear that you will use is the for dragon resistance and the / for knock back resistance.

Your cards will mainly be focused on HP and tanky stats or VCT reduction depending on which one you feel you need.

Introduction

Hello everybody! I'm Lxna, I have played ragnarok for many years but this year I started pushing myself into getting better at the game, understanding mechanics, and helping others so we always have a community to grow together. I started MuhRo around August 24, and since then i've been growing stronger, farming and making some friends on my journey. I have started as an Imperial Guard but I had to make a new character because I was having trouble farming late end game maps, because there's lots of holy immune mobs.

After looking at my options, I chose EM because it is very versatile because of the easy choice of element you want use mid fight, very fun and you get awesome pokemons puppets to aid you!

Important to say that I just started playing with this class recently so there's lots of things I don't know and will update conform I find it necessary!

Notes

Elemental Master is currently one of the most strong if not the strongest Magic class build in the current patch.

This is because:

 • We benefit from the time dimensions combo (400536.png Time Dimensions Rune Crown(Elemental Master) [1] (400536) + 540079.png Dimensions Elemental Magic Book [2] (540079) );
 • Not only benefit, but the combination of both makes us auto cast our 5380.png Elemental Buster entirely free and spammable. As a comparison, Imperial Guard dimension's combo only reduce mains skill CD in almost half, but don't auto cast anything;
 • And all of that with the case that we can choose the element of our burst skill at any type, almost free;

Some pros and cons for the magic build in my opinion:

Pros:

 • You have a lot of element coverage which will make it easier to farm specific maps ;
 • AOE skill - you use the skill, things die inside the range, you teleport out of it, repeat! No need to click on the specific mob!
 • Cute pokemons puppets elemental summons that will help you and change your offence and defence to the desired element (all of them are cute, except you Serpens, you were much better before :( );
 • Turned off brain for farming! Use skill, teleport, use skill, teleport and repeat until rich!

Cons:

 • This is not a one button to win build. You will need to alternate between at least 3 skills during each farming sessions;
 • As a mage class, at the start you will be very squishy! Go after some resistances/ mresistances asap;
 • You will need to do a lot of micro managing during game play. You need to keep track of how many elemental stones do you still have, how many gems are left, etc;
 • Your skill bar will be full of skills that you need to use. Few more than others, but it's good to remember each shortcut because speed matters;

Skills, what to use and when and stuff to micromanaging

Skills

Offence Skills

Skill Element Description
5369.png Diamond Storm Water Our main skill if we opt for 540079.png Dimensions Elemental Magic Book [2] (540079) .
9x9 targetable AOE.
5372.png Conflagration Fire Our second main skill if we opt for 540079.png Dimensions Elemental Magic Book [2] (540079) .
9x9 targetable AOE.
5373.png Terra Drive Earth Our main skill if we opt for 540080.png Dimensions Elemental Spell Book [2] (540080) .
9x9 targetable AOE.
5370.png Lightning Land Wind Our second main skill if we opt for 540080.png Dimensions Elemental Spell Book [2] (540080) .
9x9 targetable AOE.
5371.png Venom Swamp Poison Our third main skill no matter what book we choose.
9x9 targetable AOE.
5380.png Elemental Buster Any This is our burst skill with 13x13 AOE, but the catch is that we will never directly cast it.

It is auto casted whenever we use 5369.png Diamond Storm or 5373.png Terra Drive, depending if you are using 540079.png Dimensions Elemental Magic Book [2] (540079) or 540080.png Dimensions Elemental Spell Book [2] (540080) , respectively. This skill inherently the element of the pokémon we have summoned during the cast

Utility/Buff Skills

Skill Description
5366.png Spell Enchanting Our main utility skill, keep it up all time. Free +20 S.MATK is HUGE!
288.png Land Protector The reason why every party need an EM to do party content. You nullify any aoe skill inside the land protected, so we don't wipe for meteors from OGHC, Lasgand's storm gust and earth strain, etc.
289.png Dispell Awesome skill that dispell all monster buffs. It's game changer in some tougher fights
404.png Wall of Fog (Blinding Mist) Situational skill that can save you in some specific cases, like Jabberwocky dragon's breath.
2453.png Extreme Vacuum This skill push mobs to it, so you can use in events like the fall's sentinel tree or to run from some mobs, like Alice's insects which are magic immune.
2451.png Striking HUGE dps increase for physical users. Use every time you see a inquisitor in your party lol
5368.png Increasing Activity Transfer 50 AP to a party member. Very useful on party play when your party wipes or someone need ap to use some buff.
373.png Indulge Recovers 50% sp at the cost of some hp

Elemental Skills

Skill Element Description
5376.png Summon Elemental Diluvio Water Our water pokemon. This is the summon that gives the most dps numbers on dummies using 540079.png Dimensions Elemental Magic Book [2] (540079)
5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor Fire Our fire pokemon. This is the summon that you'll use more often with 540079.png Dimensions Elemental Magic Book [2] (540079) because fire element is good
5378.png Summon Elemental Terremotus Earth Our earth pokemon. This is the summon that gives the most dps numbers on dummies using 540080.png Dimensions Elemental Spell Book [2] (540080)
5377.png Summon Elemental Procella Wind Our wind pokemon. You will use this one to some specific farms, like biosphere A Ice.
5379.png Summon Elemental Serpens Poison Our poison pokemon. Good all around element, but for end game farming it's better to use specific element for higher multiplier. Also they massacred our boy, he was so cool!!
5381.png Elemental Veil - Turns your High Spirit transparent. Helps with reducing visual clutter on the screen and they also don't attack mobs, so they won't die.
2456.png Elemental Control - Switch your high spirit behaviour. Lv 1 for passive, Lv 2 for defensive and Lv 3 for aggressive. We usually use it at lv 2 just to get it's bonus. Whenever you use this with a High Elemental summoned, you will get an enchant on your armor based on your summoned pokemon. Use this to counter mechanics!

For 3rd class summons and what each individually do please check Elemental Master. Special mention to 2459.png Summon Ventus lv 1 as it's free guyak!

What to use and when

We can have some types of gameplay, which makes our class very versatile and fun to play but hard to master:

 1. Use AOE skill > teleport > use AOE skill. This is our mindless farm, farming easy maps like Biosphere A and below;
 2. Use AOE skill and get closer to use diamond storm + elemental buster combo. This is where our class shines on high dps. You'll need to play like this in Biosphere B and higher maps.
 3. Party support. If you don't have high enough dps, you'll be as useful providing lan protector and awesome buffs like strinking and spekll enchant. Our class can also give AP to others using xxx, which is very useful when the party wipes mid instance;
 4. Betel/Jabberwocky mega tank. You can build your character to be dragon immune using some specific gear + 284.png Dragonology. More on that later.

For each map, I calculate every monster type and compare with the typing of each of our summons and calculate a "score". The summon with more score will be the suggested summon for that farm.

To see how I calculated, you can check this google sheet: Lxna's Elemental Calculator

With that classification, the table below will list what gameplay type ( 1 thru 4), which skill to use, which pokemon to summon and the common strategy for each map:

Type of map Map Gameplay Type Summon Elemental Main skill Secondary Skill Strategy
Dungeon Any map below lv 200 1 - Aoe+TP Any 5372.png Conflagration 5371.png Venom Swamp You probably one shot eveything here. Just use any skill that isnt on cd and teleport and repeat.
Dungeon Abandoned Pit F2 1 - Aoe+TP 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5372.png Conflagration 5370.png Lightning Land Fire will hit every mob here, while wind wont hit Wasted Intermediate Rgan
Dungeon Niflheim Dungeon F2 1 - Aoe+TP 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5372.png Conflagration 5370.png Lightning Land Fire and Wind will hit every mob here. Focus on Grote for the 12103.png Bloody Branch (12103)
Dungeon Clock Tower Basement 1 - Aoe+TP 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5372.png Conflagration 5371.png Venom Swamp Fire will hit everything smoothly, poison will hit 75% on most mobs but none are immune
Dungeon Biosphere A - Ice 1 - Aoe+TP 5377.png Summon Elemental Procella 5370.png Lightning Land 5371.png Venom Swamp Wind will rule here. If you meet Ktunallanux, prepare for a fun fight! Use LP, Dispell and Spell breaker whenever possible.
Dungeon Biosphere A - Fire 1 - Aoe+TP 5376.png Summon Elemental Diluvio 5369.png Diamond Storm 5371.png Venom Swamp Water will rule here. If you meet Detale, use LP and dispell him whenever he starts magic absorbing
Dungeon Biosphere A - Glade 1 - Aoe+TP 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5372.png Conflagration 5371.png Venom Swamp Most fun map of the biospheres A for me, density is gooood
Dungeon Biosphere A - Death 1 - Aoe+TP 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5372.png Conflagration 5369.png Diamond Storm Fire will destroy everything here! Make insane mobs, its fun!
Dungeon Biosphere B - Soul 2 - Aoe + Buster + TP 5376.png Summon Elemental Diluvio 5369.png Diamond Storm 5370.png Lightning Land Now we may need to start using buster to one shot things. You need 540079.png Dimensions Elemental Magic Book [2] (540079) to safely farm here
Dungeon Biosphere B - Venom 2 - Aoe + Buster + TP 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5372.png Conflagration 5370.png Lightning Land Dont forget to use 5369.png Diamond Storm to proc 5380.png Elemental Buster whenever you are in danger. Kukre uses a lot of Strip Skills, its so annoying
Dungeon Biosphere B - Temple 2 - Aoe + Buster + TP 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5372.png Conflagration 5371.png Venom Swamp Dont forget to use 5369.png Diamond Storm to proc 5380.png Elemental Buster whenever you are crowded. One of the best maps to farm!
Dungeon Biosphere Depth 1 2 - Aoe + Buster + TP 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5369.png Diamond Storm 5372.png Conflagration This is where you'll need to know what you are doing otherwise you will wipe a lot. Highly advise you to log a creator on an alt to use 479.png Full Chemical Protection and a SA to use talisman buffs as it will help a lot specially with healing. Bring 608.png Yggdrasil Seed (608) for healing and 525.png Panacea (525) to clear Curse/Hallucination.
Instance Old Glast Heim Challenge 3 - Party support 2459.png Summon Ventus lv 1 to clear through first phase then 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor for boss 5369.png Diamond Storm 5372.png Conflagration Put 288.png Land Protector before the fight right where the boss will spawn. If you don't instakill it, boss will use max pain, so careful to not hit it and use a 289.png Dispell. Repeat until dead
Instance Airship Destruction 3 - Party support 5376.png Summon Elemental Diluvio 5369.png Diamond Storm 5372.png Conflagration Aquila will use max pain and berserk if you don't instakill it. In either case, 289.png Dispell just nullifies it and you can safely kill while ignoring mechanics
Instance Simulation Battle 3 - Party support 5376.png Summon Elemental Diluvio 5369.png Diamond Storm 5372.png Conflagration Focus on dps if your damage is high enough, or just buff your party members and set a 288.png Land Protector to protect against the meteors
Instance Alice Twisted Madness 3 - Party support 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5372.png Conflagration 5369.png Diamond Storm Before the boss phase you'll set a 288.png Land Protector right near the start, and focus on dps-ing in the magic only damage phase. Whenever a cat comes inside the LP use 5369.png Diamond Storm to kill it with 5380.png Elemental Buster
Instance Constellation Tower 15* ( Floor 50*) 3 - Party support 5375.png Summon Elemental Ardor 5369.png Diamond Storm 5372.png Conflagration Before the boss phase you'll set a 288.png Land Protectora little to the left, and focus on dps-ing. Avoid traps and make sure your pokemon is inside the land protector and you are using elemental veil, otherwise it will almost instadie and you'll lose a lot of dps.
Instance Constellation Tower 25* ( Floor 75*) 3 - Party support TBA TBA TBA TBA
Instance The Immortal Hard 3 - Party support 5376.png Summon Elemental Diluvio 5369.png Diamond Storm 5372.png Conflagration Before the boss you'll set a 288.png Land Protector right near the start. If you are dps, focus on killing it the faster you can, if you are focusing on supporting, you will need to move land protector as the shadow lasgand get closer to the real one. If they get close, it will do a lot of dmg and maybe party wiping!

So after all that, this what my current skillbar looks like, and i have a shortkey for every skill lol

Stuff micromanaging

Almost every skill has a catalyst cost. Some are buyable at a NPC, some you'll need to farm. Here's a list of what I always keep with me:

Stats, Traits and Variable Cast Time (VCT)

Stats

I will post my attributes, but adjust conform your necessity!! I use max int and dex because i close my vct using stats instead of %! More on that later.

Stat #
Str 59
Agi 78
Vit 100
Int 130
Dex 130
Luk 3

Traits

Stat #
SPL 110
CON 110
WIS 72

Make sure to have at least 105 SPL/CON and 125 int for gear buffs.

Variable Cast Time (VCT)

Once we reach end game, to continue pushing our dps we will need to get 100% VCT and some ACDR on our gear.

You can achieve 100% VCT in two ways:

 • Having 530 points in stats, as each 1 dex = 2 points and 1 int = 1 point;
 • Having 100% VCT % reduction in your gear;

You can not combine both, otherwise you will never reach 100%.

Currently, i'm testing getting the 100% VCT using the stats method as I still don't have the Stellar Seal fully enchanted to test which one is better. I reach the required stats in this way:

Stats Origin # Total Points Acummulated points
Dex Base 130 260 260
Int Base 130 130 390

Gear and farming progression

I've used Choi's Guide To Magic almost entirely to progress through every phase with very few changes. In every phase i will list the equipments expected to have and the changes made from his guide!

One thing that I highly recommend is to progress your gear as your progress the character story! If it is your first time playing renewal or if you have never payed attention in ragnarok story, take a breath and enjoy the npcs and story! Is pretty rewarding to feel that you've farmed what you needed to start farming in some place stronger as you progress with your story together!

Phase Eden

At Level 100, you can talk with Labraham and Louis at @go Eden to get your Advanced Paradise Gear. These gears will require 7318.png Old Pick (7318) , 1034.png Blue Hair (1034) , and 7200.png Elastic Band (7200) .

Additionally, you can talk with Lucy in the same room to receive your Advanced Paradise Shadow Gear by renting it for 20 Eden Coins for 3 days or buying the set permanently for 230 in total.

Phase One

Moving forward, your main priority is to see where you can reduce your fixed cast time, and your second priority will be increasing your damage output (for now).

Your best skill for leveling is 2449.png Psychic Wave and you can alternate that with 2447.png Diamond Dust and 2454.png Varetyr Spear due high CDs.

You should start progressing through the story to unlock all the maps and instances, and if this is your first character ever you will need to do it, so you can just buy the episode unlock with further characters!

With the phase eden equipment you can probably finish episode 16.1 Banquet for Heroes and start progressing through 17.1 Illusion. Episode 17 is the episode where you will start your farm adventure, probably hunting in Rudus 1, 2 and 3 looking for 25669.png Unknown Parts (25669) and 25723.png Cor Core (25723) .

If you are only rushing levels to get as soon as possible to 4th class, focus on doing the eden hunting missions for the highest illusion dungeon you can comfortably and constantly kill!

The following table has the minimum level required to access the content related to farm. Focus here is minimum, as chances are that each new map that we unlock will be to hard for us to properly farm there without progressing our gear.

Pro tip: Check Armor Weapon Tickets page to safely refine level 1 gear to +11.

Phase Two

At this point, we really need to get the 1.0s FCT so we can use almost all of our new 4th skills to farm even faster. Focus on getting these first:

Some alternative ways of getting more FCT if you cant get the previous for any reason:

Or you can wait until next phase where we will get our +9 [C] 470204.png Moan of Corruption [1] (470204) which will already give 1s FCT!

Once we get 1.0s FCT our focus should be getting our weapon ready! This will be the biggest damage jump for the lowest price.

Between the 450178.png Gray Wolf Robe [1] (450178) and the 450207.png Snow Flower Robe [1] (450207) , both options are great. Gray Wolf Robe [1] (450178) provides more damage and Snow Flower Robe [1] (450207) provides more tankiness. Personally I don't like to farm for amethyst fragments because it takes a lot of time to get all the ammount necessary and Oz Dungeon 2 does not drop anything useful other than the amethysts, but this is entirely personal preference.

Phase Three

Now it's time to start part of our endgame equipment! Our biggest focus in this step will be shoes, garment and dim glacier weapon! You will also start doing and understading grading and refinement. These wiki pages are good reads so you can understand how to self craft the following gear:

Be prepared to farm a lot. Serious, you will need something near 3k dim glacier boxes so you can fully craft your weapon lol.

Now you will notice that you will need tons of 984.png Oridecon (984) , 985.png Elunium (985) , 25731.png Zelunium (25731) , 25729.png Shadowdecon (25729) and 1000322.png Etel Dust (1000322) ! Phase Four

We're almost at End Game. Time to make some of the tougher gears. You can skip to Phase Five if you think you can comfortably get the Equipment from Constellation Tower (Hard), Alice Twisted Madness (Hard) and Depth 1 and 2.

What and where to farm

Level Map/Story Gear related Related maps Items to look for
240+ Clock Tower Unknown Basement Warper > Dungeons > Clock Tower Unknown Basement

(Ps: You need to walk there by foot the first time to unlock the direct warp. (c_tower1 243, 22024)

One of the best places to farm. You will get 984.png Oridecon (984) , 985.png Elunium (985) , 25730.png Zelunium Ore (25730) , 25731.png Zelunium (25731) , 25728.png Shadowdecon Ore (25728) and 25729.png Shadowdecon (25729) , which you will need a lot at this point. Awesome raw zeny too, by killing monster and selling the gear that drops here.
240+ Niflheim 2 Warper > Dungeons > Niflheim Dungeon > Climb the stairs going south and enter the portal Most of your grind will be on this map! Focus on killing Grotes as they drop 12103.png Bloody Branch (12103) which can be sold to players. Tons of 25730.png Zelunium Ore (25730) , 25731.png Zelunium (25731) , 25728.png Shadowdecon Ore (25728) and 25729.png Shadowdecon (25729) and raw zeny too. Go crazy but don't ks other people as it's rude!
240+ Constellation Tower 450173.png Nebula Robe of Spell [1] (450173) Warper > Instances > Constellation Tower Try to join a group of people to run this at the harder mode, but even if you cannot find it's good to run solo at least until Naght Sieger as you will need his souls to craft Nebula
240+ Alice Twisted Madness 410233.png Gambler's Seal [1] (410233) and 420213.png Ace of Spades in Mouth (Magical) (420213) Warper > Instances > Alice Twisted Madness Try to join a group of people to run this at the harder mode, but even if you cannot find it's good to run solo as the normal mode is easy
240+ Varmundt's Biosphere Death 480233.png Death Rune Manteau [1] (480233) Warper > Dungeons > Varmundt Dungeons > Biosphere A > east portal to Death Biosphere This is a really good place to farm. Tons of 25731.png Zelunium (25731) and 25729.png Shadowdecon (25729) , but your focus should be to deliver all the hunt 100 quests to get 1000643.png Death Rune (1000643) and 1001141.png Death Essence (1001141) . If you happen to cross the MVP and kill it is a free BSB! Yay!

Phase Five

We are finally at the end. I can guarantee that you have spent at least a good ammount of hours to get here, but I can assure we are far from over! At this phase we will slowly upgrade each piece of our gear up until we have nothing more to change and the only possible upgrades are MVP cards and refines past +12!

Also I am also at this phase, so i havent tested or either have each piece that are suggested here! Please feel free to PM me with suggestions of gear to use at this point!

Our focus will revolve around the gear you get from Constellation Tower, Alice Twisted Madness, and Biosphere Depths and Depths 2. We will also switch over Vesper+Dim Glacier to Time Dimension Crown+Dimension Weapon.

Suggested priority to upgrade

Unlikely the other phases, I will put a priority suggestion so you can try to upgrade each one at a time:

 1. 9 [A] 400536.png Time Dimensions Rune Crown(Elemental Master) [1] (400536) + 12 [A] 540079.png Dimensions Elemental Magic Book [2] (540079) ) (You NEED both at grade A, otherwise dim glacier is better);
 2. 11 [A] 470204.png Moan of Corruption [1] (470204)
 3. 11 [A] 480233.png Death Rune Manteau [1] (480233)
 4. 12 [A] 450173.png Nebula Robe of Spell [1] (450173) , if you haven't yet
 5. 12 [A] 470204.png Moan of Corruption [1] (470204)
 6. 410233.png Gambler's Seal [1] (410233) and 420213.png Ace of Spades in Mouth (Magical) (420213)
 7. Varmundt Rings (Varmundt rings will only be better than Brilliant/Sinful if you get 311958.png Intelligence of Varmundt Lv5 (311958) beyond lv 3, that is why the rings are bottom of the priority!)

Again, take this with a grain of salt and decide for yourself what's the best next upgrade you should focus on!

The Engraved Soul Purification Rune Robe [1] (450284) is the better armor, particularly against bosses. However, you will still likely need Nebula Robe of Spell [1] (450173) before being able to farm Biosphere Depths effectively. Once we get the Hall of Life update, it seems that Nebula will be the better armour because of the new enchants!

Nebula x Soul Rune - Stats Comparison

Comparison made with a +12 [A] 450173.png Nebula Robe of Spell [1] (450173) and +12 [A]450284.png Engraved Soul Purification Rune Robe [1] (450284) , assuming you have at least 120 INT and 105 SPL:

Stat Nebula Soul Rune
Spl 1 25
Con 0 22
MATK 430 390
MATK% 47% 47%
S.MATK 51 49
DEF 0 330
MDEF 0 50
All elemental magical damage 121% 108%
After Cast Delay Reduction 0% 10%
% Magical Damage against Boss class 0% 15%

As we can see, Soul Rune gives a little more damage overall than Nebula because of the added SPL which converts to S.MATK, but Soul Rune gives tons of defence and utility, which Nebula does not. Important to say that Soul Rune gives % Magical Damage against Boss class which IS HUGE in depth farming as we don't have a lot of that in our stats and it will multiply a lot better than all elemental damage%.

EM Dragon Tanking build by Choi

Gear

Elemental Master's have access to a very unique build due to its access to 284.png Dragonology, which paired with the right gear allows you to have 100% resistance to damage from dragon race monsters.

The 5936.png 8Way Wings of Purgatory (5936) , 460005.png Magic Absorber [1] (460005) , and 24057.png Dragoon Shadow Shield (24057) will also provide needed dragon resistance.

The goal is to get 100% dragon resistance with the 20% resistance from 284.png Dragonology, so when enchanting the Abyss Lake Equipment and Magic Absorber, you don't need perfect rolls on the enchants but just enough to get 100%. The rest of your gear should focus on getting at least 1s fixed cast reduction for LP, Tankiness, and VCT reduction.

Thank you to Chuchu for teaching me this build!!

Position Equipment Note
Head - Top +0 to +10 18980.png Old Wind Whisper [1] (18980) Obtained from Nightmare Biolabs. Enchanted with 29105.png Adamantine Lv5 (29105) . Any other headgear with Adamantine will work as well.

Shield 460005.png Magic Absorber [1] (460005) Obtained from Geffen Night Arena. 2 ~ 14% Resistance vs Dragon Race Enchant. Slotted with 4120.png Sky Petite Card (4120) for 30% dragon resist.

Accessory (Left) 490049.png Sinful Topaz Necklace [1] (490049) Any of the 310216.png Regret Lv5 (310216) options.

Costume Stones & Shadow Gear

Costume Stones are flexible, but I opt for Variable Cast Time and Fixed Cast Time Stones. If your 15393.png Gold Dragon Plate [1] (15393) is +11, then you can use 25170.png Minor Casting Stone (Garment) (25170) . Otherwise, you should use 25067.png Cast Stone (Garment) (25067) .

The main Shadow gear that you will use is the 24057.png Dragoon Shadow Shield (24057) for dragon resistance and the 24681.png Maximum Mammoth Shadow Earring (24681) /24682.png Maximum Mammoth Shadow Pendant (24682) for knock back resistance.

Cards

Your cards will mainly be focused on HP and tanky stats or VCT reduction depending on which one you feel you need.
