Overview

Chapter 1 includes four optional quest lines that expand the story around Ruined Geffen, the Twisted Land of Darkness, the high-level parallel-world fields, and Muspelheim. Complete the relevant part of the main story before looking for each request.

These quests are completed once per character. Their follow-up daily quests are documented in Chapter 1 - Daily Quests.

Ruined Geffen and Ruined Verus

Clover's Worry

Prerequisite: Reach Ruined Geffen and gain access to Ruined Verus.

1. Speak to Clover at (ch1_geffen 120, 114).
2. Enter the portal beside Clover and speak to Sua and the other survivors in the safe area of Ruined Verus at (hem_dun01 78, 142).
3. After learning about the maddened people outside the safe area, return to Ruined Geffen and speak to Taoist Jeon at (ch1_geffen 171, 167).
4. Return to the Ruined Verus safe-area entrance at (hem_dun01 78, 142) and speak to Sua again.
5. Return to Clover at (ch1_geffen 120, 114) to receive 10x Root Gold Coin .

Completing this quest unlocks Save Them First and This Is a Sacred Remedy.

Ash Tree Village and the Twisted Land of Darkness

Schrödinger's Dark Land

Prerequisite: Gain access to Ash Tree Village and the Twisted Land of Darkness.

1. Speak to Yvain at (ygg_edge 180, 182). He is worried about the researchers in the Twisted Land of Darkness.
2. Enter the Twisted Land of Darkness through the portal at (ygg_edge 36, 117).
3. Speak to the first Investigator at (ygg_roots 280, 99).
4. Speak to the second Investigator at (ygg_roots 208, 95).
5. Find the injured Researcher at (ygg_roots 120, 170).
6. Return to Yvain at (ygg_edge 180, 182) to receive 10x Root Gold Coin .

Completing this quest unlocks Help Us, Doctor!.

Parallel Ruined Geffen Fields

A Hazy Gate

Prerequisite: Progress through Chapter 1 until the parallel Ruined Geffen fields are accessible.

1. Speak to Rubiel at (ygg_edge 180, 182).
2. Enter the Twisted Land of Darkness through the portal at (ygg_edge 36, 117).
3. Enter the red portal at (ygg_roots 161, 241).
4. Use the Recon Point at (hem_fild 180, 263) to enter Rubiel's safe area.
5. Speak to Rubiel inside. Characters at Base Level 260 or higher can pay 45x Mana Ring for a one-hour resistance effect used to enter West or East Encroached Geffenia.
6. Leave through the Recon Point and speak to Minuel at (hem_fild 329, 191). Characters at Base Level 230 or higher can pay 20x Mana Ring for a one-hour resistance effect used to enter Ruined Valkyrie Realm.

The resistance effects permit access while active. For equipment and later progression connected to these areas, see Dimension Equipment and Zero Cell Sector.

Muspelheim

Give Me Something to Do

Prerequisite: Reach Muspelheim during the main story.

1. Enter the Twisted Land of Darkness through the portal at (ygg_edge 36, 117).
2. Use the eastern portal at (ygg_roots 342, 248) to enter the Land of Heat.
3. Speak to Yupilus at (mu_fild01 196, 184). She sends you to a safe area.
4. Inside the safe area, speak to Yupilus and Harban, then speak to Yupilus once more.
5. Receive 10x Root Gold Coin .

Completing this quest unlocks Many Things to Do.
