Overview

Chapter 1: World Tree Song begins when the World Tree summons adventurers to investigate disturbances spreading across parallel worlds. The main story travels through Ash Tree Village, the Twisted Land of Darkness, Ruined Geffen, Brimir, and Muspelheim before returning to the Dark Whisper air fortress for the final confrontation.

• Base Level 200 or higher.

Ash Tree Village

World Tree's Call

• Start: Small Ash Tree at (prt_fild05 353, 252).
• Objective: Answer the World Tree's call and meet the expedition in Ash Tree Village.
• Maps: Prontera Field 05 and Ash Tree Village.
• Reward: 10x Root Gold Coin .
• Unlocks: Ash Tree Village and the investigation of the Twisted Land of Darkness.

1. Touch the Small Ash Tree at (prt_fild05 353, 252).
2. Speak to the Laphine Messenger at (ygg_edge 254, 243).
3. Meet Laphine Shasha at (ygg_edge 168, 139). Est and the other investigators will arrive during the conversation.
4. Speak to Maysel beside Shasha at (ygg_edge 168, 139) to receive the reward and the next assignment.

Twisted Land of Darkness

• Objective: Enter the distorted region and inspect three survey points.

Regeneration

1. Investigate the source of the scream at (ygg_roots 164, 131) and help Chez free Yvain.
2. Speak to Yvain at the same location.
3. Find Maggi at (ygg_roots 151, 198), then meet her again at (ygg_roots 163, 236).
4. Enter the red crossroads portal at (ygg_roots 157, 242).
5. Speak to the Investigator at (hem_fild 204, 22).
6. Return to Maggi at (ygg_roots 163, 236).
7. Question the Investigator at (ygg_roots 119, 246).
8. Find Mark at (ygg_roots 39, 268).
9. Meet Tamarin at (ygg_roots 95, 157), then speak to Tamarin again before entering the crossroads at (ygg_roots 42, 126).
10. Inside the crossroads, follow Alf and use the blue portal at (uknw_ruin 266, 241).
11. Return through the crossroads and speak to Tamarin again at (ygg_roots 42, 126).
12. Ask the Investigators at (ygg_roots 204, 178) and (ygg_roots 290, 199) about Dew.
13. Find Mark, Chez, and Dew at (ygg_roots 338, 243) to complete the investigation.

Back to Ash Tree Village

Geffen of a Parallel World

• Start: Geffen Resident in Ruined Geffen.

1. Leave Ruined Geffen Field through the west portal at (hem_fild 35, 194).
2. Speak twice to the Geffen Resident near the arrival point.
3. Question another Geffen Resident at (ch1_geffen 154, 59).
4. Meet Charles at Geffen Tower, (ch1_geffen 121, 111).
5. Speak to Charles, Mage Clover, and Taoist Jeon until they finish discussing the sealed basement.
6. Continue to the clinic at (ch1_geffen 169, 172).

Geffen Clinic

• Start: Doctor Neumann inside the clinic entered at (ch1_geffen 169, 172).
• Objective: Help five patients and collect information about the illness.

• Unlocks: A Lead for Research.

1. Enter the clinic at (ch1_geffen 169, 172) and speak to Doctor Neumann at (ch1_gef_in 78, 74).
2. At (ch1_gef_in 110, 30), speak to the Bath Craved Patient and the Coughing Patient.
3. Ask the Clinic Volunteer nearby for a towel, then return it to the Bath Craved Patient.
4. Speak to the Skinny Patient at (ch1_gef_in 69, 112).
5. Obtain a meal from the Clinic Volunteer at (ch1_gef_in 107, 109) and deliver it to the Skinny Patient.
6. Return to the Clinic Volunteer, help the Young Patient obtain sweets, and then speak to the Elderly Patient.
7. Report to Doctor Neumann at (ch1_gef_in 78, 74).
8. Leave the clinic and meet Gregor in the building at (ch1_geffen 101, 138).
9. Enter the next building at (ch1_geffen 76, 191) and speak to Einhar.

A Lead for Research

• Start: Gregor at the Ruined Geffen Town Hall, (ch1_geffen 102, 194).
• Objective: Collect blood samples, investigate Doctor Neumann, and open the path below Geffen Tower.
• Maps: Ruined Geffen, Doctor Neumann's house, and Geffen Tower.
• Reward: 5x, 5x, and 3x Root Gold Coin during the quest.
• Unlocks: The Geffen Tower basement and Between Civilization and Savagery.

1. Speak to Gregor at (ch1_geffen 102, 194) and choose the option to help.
2. Collect the three requested samples:
   • Healthy Person's Blood at (ch1_geffen 181, 149).
   • Survivor's Blood at (ch1_geffen 46, 88).
   • Patient Blood through the clinic at (ch1_geffen 170, 171); obtain Doctor Neumann's permission first.
3. Return to Gregor at (ch1_geffen 102, 194) and speak to Gregor and Einhar until they leave.
4. Meet them outside Doctor Neumann's house at (ch1_geffen 175, 67), enter the house, and investigate both floors.
5. Return to the clinic entrance and report the discovery to Taoist Jeon at (ch1_geffen 165, 168).
6. Go to Geffen Tower at (ch1_geffen 121, 111) and speak to Clover to remove the barrier.

Dark Whisper Investigation

Between Civilization and Savagery

• Start: Charles at (hem_dun01 26, 109).
• Objective: Investigate Ruined Verus and follow the Immortal Legion.

• Unlocks: The story encounter Air Fortress: Dark Whisper.

1. Meet Charles at (hem_dun01 26, 109).
2. Enter the hidden spot at (hem_dun01 77, 140) and speak to Clover, Sua, and Parsifal.
3. Follow Parsifal to the hidden spot at (hem_dun01 174, 198).
4. Speak to Charles, Clover, Parsifal, and Taoist Jeon and examine the fallen victim.
5. Leave the hidden spot and meet Charles at (hem_dun01 218, 208).

Air Fortress: Dark Whisper

• Start: Taoist Jeon in the Dark Whisper story area.
• Objective: Follow the Immortal Legion and collect two samples from the fortress.
• Maps: Dark Whisper story area, Ruined Verus, and Ruined Geffen.
• Reward: 12x and 5x Root Gold Coin .
• Unlocks: Identity of the Plague.
• Important: This story encounter is separate from the post-story daily instance Recreated Dark Whisper.

1. Speak to Taoist Jeon, follow the Immortal Legion, and meet Clover in the room at the top of the stairs.
2. Search both side rooms and obtain 2x Collected Sample :
   • Activate the three tubes in the right room and defeat the released monsters.
   • Activate the four mechanical devices in the left room.
3. Return to Taoist Jeon in the central room.
4. Meet Clover at the Ruined Verus hiding spot, (hem_dun01 184, 195).
5. Return to Ruined Geffen and meet Clover at the destroyed Geffen Tower, (ch1_geffen 122, 118).
6. Continue to the Town Hall at (ch1_geffen 102, 194) and speak to Einhar and Taoist Jeon.

Identity of the Plague

• Start: Doctor Neumann's clinic at (ch1_geffen 169, 172).
• Objective: Follow the hidden route beneath the clinic and locate Einhar.
• Maps: Ruined Geffen Clinic, Ash Tree Village, and Ruined Geffen Underground.
• Reward: Two rewards of 10x Root Gold Coin .
• Unlocks: Illusion Tome Exploration.

1. Enter the clinic at (ch1_geffen 169, 172) and speak to the Wandering Patient.
2. Enter the door at 9 o'clock, follow the dialogue triggers, and continue through the southern portal.
3. Use the dark portal created by Einhar.
4. Report to Taoist Jeon at (ygg_fruit 40, 72).
5. Return to the clinic at (ch1_geffen 169, 172) and follow the western route into the underground.
6. Speak to Gregor, then inspect Einhar's trail at (ch1_que01 125, 57) and (ch1_que01 51, 46).
7. Find Einhar at (ch1_que01 67, 128).
8. Return to the clinic basement and meet Maxim at (ch1_gef_in 68, 33).

Illusion Tome Exploration

• Start: Professor Telcos at (ygg_edge 212, 206).
• Objective: Enter the illusion tome and investigate Doctor Neumann's past.
• Maps: Ash Tree Village and the recreated Geffen inside the tome.
• Reward: 10x Root Gold Coin .
• Unlocks: The Doctor's Truth.

1. Speak to Professor Telcos at (ygg_edge 212, 206) and enter the tome.
2. Meet Ziegler at (ch1_vrgef2 139, 195), then follow him to (ch1_vrgef2 190, 137) and (ch1_vrgef2 50, 93).
3. Enter the house at (ch1_vrgef1 66, 137).
4. Inspect every interactive object in the room before speaking to Ziegler again.
5. Leave the building and speak to Ziegler outside.
6. Enter Neumann's house at (ch1_vrgef2 173, 64) and trigger every dialogue while moving upstairs.
7. Leave the house and speak to Ziegler. If he does not appear, return to the previous house and inspect any missed object.
8. Return to Professor Telcos at (ygg_edge 212, 206).

The Doctor's Truth

• Start: Maxim at (ch1_geffen 102, 194).
• Objective: Investigate Neumann's identity and obtain the medical information needed for the cure.
• Maps: Ruined Geffen and Ash Tree Village.
• Reward: Two rewards of 10x Root Gold Coin .
• Unlocks: The expedition to Brimir.

1. Speak to Maxim at (ch1_geffen 102, 194).
2. Question the three residents at (ch1_geffen 179, 161), (ch1_geffen 56, 90), and (ch1_geffen 119, 195).
3. Return to Maxim at (ch1_geffen 102, 194).
4. Visit Margot at (ch1_geffen 178, 63) and speak to her until she asks for water.
5. Collect water near the entrance, return to Margot, and then find Neumann's record beneath the bed. Choose "Lift the mattress."
6. Return the record to Margot.
7. Meet Assistant Baily at (ygg_edge 73, 151) and enter the nearby portal.
8. Return to Margot at (ch1_geffen 178, 63) and speak to Baily.
9. Return to Baily's Shelf at (ygg_edge 73, 151).

Brimir

To Brimir

• Start: Expedition portal at (ygg_edge 36, 117).
• Objective: Investigate Brimir, help its residents, and find a way to release the Valkyrie prisoners.
• Maps: Twisted Land of Darkness and Twisted Brimir 1F.
• Reward: 10x Root Gold Coin .
• Unlocks: The repeatable quests "A Formal Grave", "Cats are still Cats", and "In Fact. They too.", followed by the Muspelheim expedition.

1. Use the portal at (ygg_edge 36, 117), then enter the red portal at (ygg_roots 37, 123).
2. Meet the expedition at (uknw_ruin 256, 238) and enter its safe place.
3. Speak to the expedition members, One, and Zero.
4. Question the three Brimir Residents:
   • (uknw_ruin 253, 63)
   • (uknw_ruin 91, 173)
   • (uknw_ruin 153, 150)
5. Meet One at (uknw_ruin 158, 158).
6. Defeat 10x Shadow Jailer (22464) in Twisted Brimir and obtain 5x Broken Petal for the quest.
7. Return to One at (uknw_ruin 158, 158).
8. Speak to Dry Branch outside the safe place, then enter and speak to Dry Branch and Two.
9. Find Broken Branch at (uknw_ruin 255, 59), speak to Three, and enter the nearby portal.
10. Find Rotten Branch at (uknw_ruin 93, 173) and speak to Four in the safe place.
11. Return to One at (uknw_ruin 158, 158).

Muspelheim and the Cure

The Land of Heat

• Start: Laphine Shasha at (ygg_fruit 80, 122).
• Objective: Reach Volund Valley and obtain the Hal required to complete the cure.
• Maps: Ash Tree Village, Twisted Land of Darkness, and Volund Valley Outskirts.
• Reward: Two rewards of 10x Root Gold Coin .

1. Speak twice to Laphine Shasha at (ygg_fruit 80, 122).
2. Visit Devries at (ygg_fruit 71, 78).
3. Enter the portal at (ygg_edge 36, 117), then enter the Land of Heat at (ygg_roots 342, 248).
4. Approach the Survey Point to enter the safe place and speak to Chez and the expedition.
5. Find Harban at (mu_fild01 158, 217).
6. Speak to Tamarin at (mu_fild01 224, 245).
7. Meet Yupilus at (mu_fild01 196, 184) and accept the request for Hal .
8. Visit all eight Workers:
   • (mu_fild01 236, 293)
   • (mu_fild01 218, 308)
   • (mu_fild01 166, 369)
   • (mu_fild01 134, 308)
   • (mu_fild01 125, 303)
   • (mu_fild01 35, 192)

9. After collecting the required Hal, return to Yupilus at (mu_fild01 199, 185).
10. Speak to Harban and Yupilus inside the safe place.

Cure Created Successfully

• Start: Assistant Baily at (ygg_edge 73, 151).
• Objective: Complete the cure, test it on Margot, and treat the clinic patients.
• Maps: Ash Tree Village, Ruined Geffen, and Ruined Geffen Clinic.
• Reward: 10x Root Gold Coin .
• Unlocks: Bring Down the Air Fortress.

1. Deliver the special Hal to Assistant Baily at (ygg_edge 73, 151).
2. Bring the completed cure to Maxim at (ch1_geffen 102, 194).
3. Administer the cure to Margot at (ch1_geffen 178, 63) and speak to Maxim.
4. Collect the Small Journal at the Town Hall, (ch1_geffen 102, 193).
5. Return to Maxim and Margot at (ch1_geffen 178, 63).
6. Enter the clinic at (ch1_geffen 169, 172) and treat the three patients, including those at (ch1_gef_in 112, 31) and (ch1_gef_in 112, 108).
7. Return to Maxim at (ch1_geffen 102, 194) and speak to him twice.

Final Confrontation

Bring Down the Air Fortress

• Start: Est at (hem_dun01 206, 245).
• Objective: Complete the Ominous Dark Whisper story instance and defeat the Immortal Monarch.
• Maps: Ruined Geffen, Ruined Verus, and the Ominous Dark Whisper story instance.
• Reward: 20x and 10x Root Gold Coin .
• Unlocks: The daily party instance Recreated Dark Whisper.

1. Enter the destroyed Geffen Tower at (ch1_geffen 120, 118).
2. Create a party and speak to Est at (hem_dun01 206, 245) to create the Ominous Dark Whisper story instance.
3. Inside, speak to Est and choose "Let's move out."
4. Follow Est, then defeat every monster encountered after the party is displaced.
5. Continue up the stairs and defeat all monsters to open the chamber.
6. Defeat the Immortal Monarch. Destroy the crystal at the edge of the room to deal damage to the boss, then speak to Est.
7. Return to Ash Tree Village and report to Shasha through the portal at (ygg_edge 167, 137).
8. Return to the destroyed Geffen Tower at (ch1_geffen 120, 118).
9. Speak to the Wizard Professor at (hem_dun01 201, 248). The Chapter 1 Main Quest is now complete and Recreated Dark Whisper is available.

After the Main Quest

• Open Recreated Dark Whisper for the daily instance's entry rules, mechanics, difficulty levels, and rewards.
• Zero Cell Sector is later Chapter 1 progression. It requires completion of this main story and the optional quest A Hazy Gate.
