1. Introduction
1.1. The announcement for Varmundt Depth 1 and 2 Dungeons
Ello,
You must be here because you have seen the annnouncement something like these :

My name is Johnny, Johnny Depth. I am a full support cardinal that sometimes host a run for Vardmundt Depth 1 and 2 dungeons and I will tell you how to go to the deep of Depth 1 and 2 Dungeons.
Here I will guide you how to enter the Vardmundt Depth 1 and 2 Dungeons.
1.2. Overview of Vardmundt Depth 1 and Depth 2 Dungeons
- Vardmundt Depth 1 and 2 Dungeons are considered end game dungeons, therefor unless your gears progression can deal around 5 Billion damages, you will need a party to farm inside those dungeons.
- Varmundt Depth 1 dungeon is a good map for levelling for level 250 until 275, but if you are not well geared, you will be having a hard time dealing with monsters inside the dungeon
- Sometimes, every now and then, an announcement for Depth 1 party is up, usually for those players need to level from 250 and to gain Vardmundt Depth 1 Reputation

Vardmundt Depth 1 and 2 dungeons considered as End Game Dungeons where Depth 1 (we use Depth 1 for Varmundt Depth 1 Dungeon and Depth 2 for Varmundt Depth 2 Dungeon) is an early end game dungeon and Depth 2 will be late end game dungeon. Therefor if your character is not prepared for Depth 1 Dungeon's mechanic, you will need a party to enter the dungeon.
To enter Depth 1 Dungeon. you will need to have these prerequisites :
- Character level is at minimum level of 250.
- Purchased Skip Ticket episode 17.1 and 17.2 (these tickets can be bought from Temporal Tina in Main Office (main_office 94, 59) ), because you need to access Varmundt Biosphere A dungeon entrance warp from warper.
- At least you wear Glacier Armor sets (glacier armor, glacier shoes, glacier garment), because you need a decent defensive equipment to survive inside the dungeon.
- If you are a class that have no movement boost skill (e.g Mado Gear Meister's Acceleration, Biolo's Cart Boost, Sura's Slide and that Soul Ascetic sprint skill ^^ ), make sure you bring at least 1 ea of Guyak Pudding Guyak Pudding, because 1 (one) run will depend on the time of Guyak Pudding consumed (30 minutes).
- Beside 1 ea of Guyak Pudding, you will also need these consumables for 30 minutes run :
- 1 ea of The One Potion (50035) - obtainable from Vending Machine at Eden Office
- 1 ea of [Bound] Life Insurance (12265) - obtainable from Vending Machine at Eden Office
- plenty of [Bound] Token of Sigfrieds (6316) - this item will automatically revive your character when killed during the run, I usually bring 20 tokens (it will cost you 100 Eden Coins ). The Token is available only at Vending Machine inside Eden Office (the same Vending Machine you get the One Potion and Life Insurance
- at least 2 ea of [Bound] Kafra Card (23177) - sometimes you forgot some items, this will come in handy when you are inside any dungeons
- 20 of each this elemental potions - Fireproof Potion (12118) and Thunderproof Potion (12121)
- if your level below 275, I recommend to bring at least 1 ea of any type of Battle Manual ( [Bound] Battle Manual (12263) from Eden Office's Vending Machine or Core Battle Manual (100351) or Combat Manual (100352). Use the Battle Manual only when you are submitting quest (or we call it 'Turning In' ) for the first time during the run
When all prerequisites have been met, you are ready to journey inside Depth 1 dungeon even when you do not have proper gears to kill the monsters inside.
1.4. Prerequisites to Enter Vardmundt Depth 2 Dungeon with a Party
To enter Depth 2 Dungeon. you will only need to have 2,000 Reputation from Depth 1 Dungeon, then you can enter the Portal to Chess Board / Checkmate.
2. The Party
2.1. Varmundt Depth 1 Dungeon Party
When you see announcement in #LFG channel about recruiting members for Depth 1 run, then you can join the party as long prerequisites on point 1.2 have been met.
You can join the Depth 1 run by using either these methods below :
- Go to Vardmundt Mansion Biosphere A Dungeon, then ask the Party Leader to invite you (they usually standing in front of entrance to Biosphere Grass)
- Party Agency, use Ctrl + Z to bring Party Agency window and look for the Depth 1 run party leader name and click its name, you will notify the Party Leader to invite you in their party
After joined the party using Party Agency, you still need to go to Varmundt Mansion Biosphere A Dungeon (using warper) and rendezvous with the rest of the party.
The party for Depth 1 run usually consists of :
- A Carrier - this is a player or 2 players that can 1-shot kill the monsters inside Depth 1, the rest of the party will only need to follow them and revive themselves when killed by monster
- A Lurer - when there are no Carrier, a Lurer task is to draw as many monsters to the party and have the hitters to kill the monsters. This Lurer should be a player with a very high HP because they need to survive hits from monsters while being lured (Biolo's Illusion Doping skill is a good skill to gather monsters).
- Several hitters - what is a party without hitters? Hitters task are simple, to kill all monsters gathered/lured by Lurer so the quest can be done and submitted to Daily Quest NPC.
- Supporters - these Supporters are not Supporters in a Soccer game, but players with supporting skills that can buff hitters and lurer, e.g. Full Support Cardinal, Summoner Doram.
2.2. Varmundt Depth 2 Dungeon Party
Composition for Depth 2 Dungeon Party is more simpler, due most players usually well-geared and can do 1-2 shots to kill the monsters inside the Dungeons. Supportive characters usually a full support cardinal and/or Summoner Type Dorams.
Since this dungeon is the source for Time Dimension Magic Rune (1001556), most well-geared doing solo to farm in here, parties are for gaining reputation only or when some players are bored farming solo and looking for another excitement.
2.3. The Depth 1 Party Run Mechanic
2.3.1. Preparations
- Set your macro to return a map where there is Storage Box (for me ALT+4 is @go 16 for submitting quests, ALT+3 is @storeall and ALT+5 is @lw to return Biosphere A )
- All party members will gather in front of entrance Biosphere Grass.
- Take all quests from nearby Daily Quest NPC (there is one NPC in Varmundt Mansion Biosphere A )
- Party Leader shall inform how much time needed for preparation (usually 2 minutes)
- When all party members are ready, use Guyak Pudding before entering Biosphere Grass map
- Go inside Portal of Biosphere Grass and teleport you way up to 12 o clock
- If the party leader is a Full Support Cardinal with Convenio skill, he/she will use the skill in front of Depth 1 portal to summon all party members on Biosphere Grass map
- Party Leader will ask if all party member ready to enter Depth 1 and start to use consumables
- Use all consumables except Battle Manual
- Enter the Portal to Depth 1
2.3.2. The Depth 1 Run
During the run, the party shall try to achieve 300 kills for turning in quests, follow the Full Support Cardinal since he/she will cast Mediale Voltum to regen its HP and surrounding players.
When your counter reached 300, quickly use your macro to return to a map where there are Healer, Storage Box and Daily NPC.
Use the Healer to restore you HP/MP/AP then drop all your loots to Storage, submit your quests, get the rewards, take all quests again and use macro @lw to return to Biosphere A to get back into Depth 1 map.
Tips : Put all samples from Depth 1 in your FAV Tab because when you use @storeall you do not want the samples to be put into storage before submitting the quest
When you are back in Depth 1 map, make your way back to the 'pack' (where all party members are gather) through waves of monsters.
And if you are trapped and die, just wait until the pack reach your spot, do not use your Sigfried's Token since you'll be dead again in no time inside the monsters groupies.
Keep on turning quest when the 300 counter is reached and return to Depth 1 map.
After the effect of One Potion wears off (30 minutes have passed), the party leader will inform to go to the center of Depth 1 Map where there is a warp to get you to Research Room.
Go there with the 'pack' and click the warp to get into Varmundt Mansion's Research Room.
2.3.3. Turning In Quest and Getting Reputation for Depth 1 Dungeon
Once inside the Research Room, drop all your loots into Storage (usually you will have 100 items in inventory and you cannot accept more items) then talk to nearby Daily Hunts Research Manager for submitting your Depth 1 quests (usually you will get up to 2,000 kills after 30 minutes)
