Hello everybody! I'm Lxna, I have played ragnarok fopr many years but this year I started pushing myself into getting better at the game, understanding mechanics, and helping others so we always have a community to grow together. I started MuhRo around August 24, and since then i've been growing stronger, farming and making some friends on my journey. I started as an Imperial Guard because i really like more chonky (tanky) class and it was the perfect starter for me!

Important to say that I am not even remotely close of being a good Imperial Guard as I just started playing recently, i am just sharing my opinion and thoughts about the progression based in my experience!

Imperial guard (IG) is a really strong starter, has great dps output, it is really tanky (in farming runs it's almost impervious to damage!) and it has a really smooth and enjoyable gear progression. I do recommend this class, even if it's your first character on the server.

Do note that IG have a magic, a melee and recently a ranged physical build, but this guide will focus only on the magic vertent, which the main skill used is Cross Rain.

You will be using {{#skill:5267}} almost every time with very few exceptions. Your main strategy is to teleport, get the aggro of all the mobs around you and while they are almost on you, you make it rain to kill everything! Don't forget that this skills demands that you need to be in the screen to get kill account, so if you are doing kill quests like eden boards wait for the mob to be killed to get the credit!

Cross rain only has 1.5s Fixed Casting Time (FCT) and Cross Rain has 0.5 FCT and 6s Variable Casting Time (VCT), so at this point we should have at least 120 points in INT and DEX to help reduce GR VCT.

The following table has the '''minimum level''' required to access the content related to farm. Focus here is minimum, as chances are that each new map that we unlock will be to hard for us to properly farm there without progressing our gear.

Or you can wait until next phase where we will get our +9[C] {{#item:470204}} which will already give 1s FCT!

Once we get 1.5s FCT our focus should be getting our weapon ready! This will be the biggest damage jump for the lowest price.

These are your options, choose what you like / can afford at the moment!

Cute Pets: White Knight Egg (9134) , Gloom Under Night Egg (9122) , Dark Illusion Egg (9139) , and Icewind Egg (9147) are good choices.
=== Nebula x Soul Rune - Stats Comparison ===
Comparison made with a +12 [A] {{#item:450173}} and +12 [A]{{#item:450284}}, assuming you have at least 120 INT and 105 SPL:
{| class="wikitable"

As we can see, Soul Rune gives a little more damage overall than Nebula because of the added SPL which converts to S.MATK, but Soul Rune gives tons of defence and utility, which Nebula does not. Important to say that Soul Rune gives % Magical Damage against Boss class which IS HUGE in depth farming as we don't have a lot of that in our stats and it will multiply a lot better than all elemental damage%.
