Intro

Hey I'm Apple and I have no idea how to create this page with fancy links and stuff(studying as I'm writing this) but I wanted to make an EM guide for newbies with no or little idea on what to do & how to become an EM. I don't consider myself a good/pro player but I felt the difficulties too when I first played RO(it's not an easy game, you gotta admit) and also different servers have different features so... I dunno if I'm making any sense. Just keep in mind that anything I write here is NOT the only answer and you may alwasy find a better way to acheive the goal. If the case please share to make things better :)

In short : TY for understanding this crappy work :P

Beginning

Whether you are familiar with RO or not the beginning part is simple. You log on -> accept to follow the guide -> follow the npc until the main office part is over -> go to Eden Group and talk to Lime to join the group -> get Eden equips -> go to Poring Village instance -> By the time you finish the instance you will be lvl 80+ and in between there's an npc that lets you change the class to Sage.

Once you get out make sure to enchant the Carrot or Leek depending on which one you choose. Regarding enchanting and stuff refer to this page : Poring Village

Next go to Eden and check the boards. Each boards have corresponding required level range so you want to check the 70~99 one for now. In case you are not in game and would like to know which quests are available : Kill Quests and Item Collection Boards

From the 70~99 quests, I prefer Glast Heim 'Wraith and Evil Druids'. Others... either you gotta walk too much or the monsters hurt too much. Wraith/Evil druids are annoying too when they curse you and stuff but you can directly teleport from Eden so it's really convenient to go back and forth. Repeat this quest couple of times until you become level 99.

*Check ETC #1 for an option to buy an infinite fly wing to teleport to different maps faster+more conveniently.

Once you are level 99, go to Main office to rebirth.

If you are freshly new to the game, I suggest going to Payon Dungeon to kill some zombies. They are squishy so you don't need any gears to knock them down. I think 1 zombie was enough from Job level 1 to 10. Once you are job level 10 High Novice, go to Main office to become a high magician. Sad part is your Base level is probably around 3~5 so you will need to go back to Payon Dungeon to level up some more. I suggest lvling up to at least 10 here to equip the eden gears. It's also a good idea to lvl up here bit more with the eden board quest(level 1~39 board). All the eden coins you get by completing these quests will be used well so the more you complete the quests, the easier life you will find later.

Mid - Sage / Professor

Now you are Sage and you have two options : casting magic vs beating up the enimies with a hard cased book :P

Personally I prefer the latter : I think it's more fun.

As a Professor it's not too different from Sage days.

End? or another beginning :P

Once you become an EM, it's pretty simple.

Stats and Skills

ETC

  1. If I remember correct you get some Muh Coins for free when you make the first character. You could convert them into cash points to buy an infinite fly wing at the main office which will make things more comfortable until it expires. You can also get muh coins by participating events + and hunting strong monsters. Check : Muh Coins

End

Lastly, reading wiki is EXTREMELY helpful even if you are used to RO from playing another server.
