Hey there,
i see you're new here, so yeah, RO has a pretty steep learning curve because it's an old game.
This learning curve can be VERY daunting, so i will guide you through your First Steps on MuhRO.
Keep asking questions (after checking in with the Wiki first of course ;)) our MuhRO Community pretty nice and REALLY helpful.
Use the language channels, if you want

BUT DON'T BEG!

== Where to start? ==
First of all, i recommend to level a Merchant for NPC sales on your main account.
Do the Tutorial you will get pretty good early items and you will level VERY easy - DO IT ON EVERY CHARACTER, ALWAYS!
At least until Prontera ;)
Choose Merchant on Job Changer NPC and keep going with the Tutorial.
You need to Join the Eden Group with every Character.
Talk to Secretary Lime Evenor.
You will get your first Eden and Shadow Gear, don't forget to equip the Newbie Costume!
Remember these four NPC's, you will need them later.
The Tutorial should be finished and you know some of the Basics :)

Where you should level your Merchant depends on you.
I usually go to Poring village because it's simple and easy, and you can get Poring Glasses, which can be pretty expensive.
(Warper -> Instances -> Poring Village)
But it can be very slow, because you only have Auto Hits.
Another route could be Payon Dungeon with Eden Board quests until first Job Change and then Glastheim Monastery with Eden Board Quests.
See below for the Payon - Glast Heim Route.
Create a party with @party and talk to the Village Guard to create a new instance and join afterwards.
You can use your battle manual but I'd recommend against it, you're not rebirthing this Character for now.
Do the run, spend you Skillpoints, before talking to the Job Changer again, i recommend 10 Enlarge, 9 Discount, 10 Overcharge (the most important skill), 10 Pushcart and 10 Vending.

Leave the dungeon and don't forget to talk to the NPC, he will give you a box and choose the Carrot for Quest Reward
Go back to the Main Hall (@main).
You're now settled for NPC sales.

You can now start your actual character.
You can do Poring village again or the Payon - Glastheim Route, it's up to you.
I'd say, try the Payon - Glastheim Route, to see what you prefer. (and get your first Eden Coins!)
For ease of access go to the first Eden Board and "take all"
You need to be Level 15 for the Payon Quest - if you're not 15, go there anyway, kill one or two enemies and @go Eden
Warper -> Dungeons -> Payon Dungeon and kill Zombies and Skeletons on the first floor.
If you're not playing a Rebirth class, use your Novice Battle manual NOW.
You can go back to @eden and turn in the quest, but you also can grind on floor two until you don't get any Exp anymore and do your Job Change.
DON'T TURN IN THE QUEST BEFORE JOBCHANGE IF YOU DECIDE TO DO SO!
You should be around Main Level 70.

You might need to Check in where you got your First Eden Gear, depending on you class, you might need a new Weapon/Armour which you can get there.

If your playing a Rebirth class you can do the Payon Quest once more BUT DON'T TURN IT IN - you're keeping the quest for after Rebirth - i call it "priming".
Go to the 70~99 Eden Board and "Take all" again.
The Wraiths and Evil Druids are weak to Holy Element, so use holy Spells and Arrows/Bullets - you can buy these at your class merchant
Go to the Warper and Dungeons -> Glast Heim -> Monastery

There is a warper on the top left of the Map, you could go there as well and kill Dark Priests (weak to Holy too) - but the Furious Dark Priest (he is Red and shiny) can be a bit elusive, so you actually can lose some "effiency" here - but i like the Exp, so i still go there - no one is rushing you anyway.
Around 2-3 runs you hit 99/50 at which point you can rebirth.
You can "Prime" the Glast Heim Quests as well (see Payon)

Go to the Job changer and Rebirth.
As Non-Rebirth Class, just skip ahead.

You should use your Novice Battle Manual now, if you haven't!
Rinse and repeat above until you hit Level 100 with the Rebirth Character

Go to Eden and get your new Level 100 Gear
You will se that you can buy the gear with Eden Coins, but don't do that, you will take the Special Offer.
Farm these items, it should be pretty easy:
For Elastic Band use @navi um_fild02
For Blue Hair use @navi ra_fild05
For Old Pick use @navi ein_dun01

Turn in and get your new Eden Gear - you can use this until 200 or even more.
If you have 20 Eden Coin, you SHOULD rent the Advanced Shadow gear from Lucy for 7 days.
A permanent Version is also available to buy for ~230 Eden Coins, but that's for later, just know it's there.
You might start farming Illusion Dungeons, they're pretty good and somewhat manageable for the early 100 stages.
Warper -> Illusion Dungeons -> Illusion of Moonlight.
Get in there and Talk to the NPC, for the Daily Quests.
Kill 100 Enemies and rinse and repeat.
Keep every Illusion item for now.
The most important thing are the Boxes from different Illusions, KEEP THESE!
Around Level 140 you can do Illusion of Vampire.
You can stay there until Level 200 even though 190+ can be pretty slow.
Illusion of Teddy and Illusion of Labyrinth would be better, but these can be pretty tough for starters.

Congratz, you made it through the early game!
From now you can start working on your Grace Gear and start Questing (or Skipping if you have the money) through Episode 17.
