This guide will explain what Glacier and Dim Glacier Weapons are while providing examples.
Also provides tips on farming them and answering frequently asked questions (FAQs).
What Are Glacier Weapons?
Glacier weapons are a new archetype of mid-game weapons introduced in Episode 19.
They all require Lv 210 to be equipped.
At first glace they seem bad because all of them only provides MATK bonus and have no slot.
But what makes them powerful are their customizable enchants.
They reach their most cost-effective potential when fully enchanted and refined to +9, which is easy to achieve since they are Lv 5 weapons.
Possible Enchants
NOTE:
This is a brief summary of what the enchants do.
Some of the Job Skill enchants work differently such as the 4th slot enchant Glacier Flower Spell (Shadow Spell) (311221) .
See detailed list of all possible enchants here.

What Are Dim Glacier Weapons?
Dim Glacier weapons are another set of new archetype weapons introduced in Episode 19.
They all require Lv 230 to be equipped.
Unlike Glacier, Dim Glacier weapons are one of (if not) the best end-game weapons available as of Episode 19.
They are similar to Glacier weapons in which on their own they only give MATK, but have powerful enchants.
But what makes them truly powerful is their 2nd slot enchant which must be upgraded 4 times.
Their only downside is they are not suited for classes that uses multiple skills due to how their 3rd and 4th enchant works.
They also have their own refining hammer ( Dim Glacier Reinforcement Device (101637) ) which is technically free to use while you're making the weapon.
This makes them one of the cheapest weapons to maximize.

How To Get Full Enchant Glacier And Dim Glacier Weapons
These weapons are accessible after completing 19 Issgard Land of Snow Flowers.
Glacier weapons can be purchased for 150k zeny each from NPC.
Dim Glacier weapons are dropped from monsters introduced in Episode 19.
Their enchanting materials are earned by destroying Dim Glacier weapons on Dim Glacier Extractor.
Destroying Dim Glacier weapons will grant various ingredients which falls into 6 categories:
Item | Description |
Snow Flower Stones
Snow Flower Ore (1000811) |
Used to enchant Glacier weapons. 5x = 1x higher tier. Example: 5x Snow Flower Ore (1000811) can be traded for 1x Snow Flower Stone (1000812) . |
Snowflake Manastone Extracts
Snowflake Manastone Extract (1001034) |
Used to enchant Dim Glacier weapons and upgrading Dim Glacier 2nd enchantment. |
Magical Crystals
Encroached Magical Crystal (1001031) |
Used to activate Dim Glacier refine hammer ( Dim Glacier Reinforcement Device (101637) ). |
Magical Source Stones
Encroached Magical Source Stone (1001029) |
Used to craft Encroached Magical Crystal (1001031) and Neutralized Magical Crystal (1001032) respectively. Can also be traded for Snowflake Manastone Extracts. |
Glacia Extract (1001037) | Used for upgrading Dim Glacier's 2nd slot enchant, and crafting other gears (e.g. Boitata Hat [1] (400109) ) |
Poisonous Magic (1001033) | Used for purchasing Dim Glacier Reinforcement Device (101637) , and crafting other gears (e.g. Moan of Corruption [1] (470204) ) |
Most of the time you will get Snow Flower Stones, that's why it is very easy to get Full Enchant Glacier Weapons.

Dim Glacier Farming Tips
Before going into farming Dim Glacier weapons, here are some tips to improve your farm efficiency.
Always Use Bubble Gum
All Dim Glacier weapons have a drop rate of 2.74%, meaning that they are somewhat rare.
Bubble Gum (12210) doubles this into 5.48% so you will roughly get 1 in 20 monster kills instead of 40.
Prepare Your Setups
The most common setup is:
- Have an empty storage
- Have a hotkey for the command @storeall and @return
- Pick a dungeon or field you can directly warp into (common places are Snake Pit and Abandoned Pit)
Farming Dim Glacier weapons fill up your weight really fast, so you will be going back and forth between town and dungeon.
Whenever you hit full weight, do these steps:
- Use @return
- Click on Healer so all your items get identified (or you can identify them later using the Healer in the extractor room)
- Open the empty storage you've prepared before
- Use @storeall - this will dump all your inventory into the storage
- Use warper to get back into the dungeon
You can prevent specific items to from getting dumped into storage by @storeall by putting them in the Favorites Tab.
Always Grade At +11
Due to how rare Brilliant Snowflake Manastone Extract (1001036) is, you will most likely have an overabundance of the other materials unless you are buying from other players.
Since they won't be used after you complete your weapon, it's better to spend them on refining the weapon to +11 using Dim Glacier Reinforcement Device (101637) .
This means you will have better odds at grading from No Grade to D and from D to C.
Store All Your Other Items When Using Extractor
Destroying the weapon requires them to be in your inventory and they aren't exactly light.
It is highly recommended to put away all your gears and inventories to storage so you can carry additional weapons to the extractor.
This also prevents you from accidentally destroying the Dim Glacier you are using.
FAQs
Should I get a Glacier weapon?
If you're just starting out and are still using Paradise weapon, 99% of time the answer is yes.
Glacier weapon is such a good cost-effective upgrade because it requires no grading and only needs to be refined to +9.
Should I get a Dim Glacier weapon?
Most probably yes. There are plenty of other end-game weapon choices, but most won't be that much better or worse.
Also thanks to Dim Glacier Reinforcement Device (101637) it is very easy to refine and grade it to Grade A +12.
What enchants should I get for my weapon?
Ask around in the discord, plenty of people are willing to answer your question!
Though most of the time you will want Size/Race/Element/ATK or MATK.
How to refine Glacier and Dim Glacier weapons?
They are both Lv 5 weapons, meaning you simply need Etherdeocon (1000332) to refine them.
More details regarding refining odds, how to get Etherdeocon (1000332) , and penalty of failing the refine here.
TLDR - Get 120 Etherdeocon (1000332) and keep smashing that Refine button until you hit +9.
Given average luck, that amount should be more than enough.
For Dim Glacier weapons, once you hit +9 proceed to use Dim Glacier Reinforcement Device (101637) until +11 (or +12 if you're already at Grade A).
Is there a faster way to use the extractor?
There's no other way than increasing your Weight Limit right now so you can carry more weapons from the storage.
Suggestions have been made in the forum, but for now you just have to repeat the process manually.
I've been there. I made 2 Dim Glacier weapons and I'm fed up already.
