Ring of the Wise King

Quest

1. Speak to Schwartzvalt Mechanic (mid_camp 197, 237) outside the Alliance Headquarters of Rune Midgard Allied Forces Post.
   • He tells you about the Ring of the Wise King, and asks you to speak to the Arunafeltz Linguist on the second floor of the Alliance Headquarters.

2. Inside, up the stairs, find the Arunafeltz Linguist (mid_campin 168, 82) in the room to the far right.

   

3. He asks you to visit the Faerie and Giants out on the fields and remember every single word they say.
4. Talk to the Small Fairy in Splendide Field 2 (spl_fild02 34, 223).

   

5. Talk to the Tree Giant in Manuk Field 3 (man_fild03 236, 105).

   

6. After talking to both Small Fairy and Tree Giant, return to Arunafeltz Linguist and tell him their exact words.

7. Talk to the Arunafeltz Linguist again, he tells you that he isn't able to make any sense of the languages and refers you to the Rune Midgart's Magician (mid_camp 147, 256).

   • The Magician says he needs to hear the languages being pronounced.
   • He had some assassins bury gems near the villages to record the spoken languages.
   • He would like you to go retrieve the gems.
8. Talk to the Half Buried Gem (spl_fild02 26, 218), near the Small Fairy, and attempt to dig it out.
   • Several thief bugs will spawn, kill them. Repeat until you obtain a Red Jewel (7575) from it.

   

9. Talk to the Half Buried Gem (man_fild03 227, 109), near the Tree Giant, and attempt to dig it out.
   • Several thief bugs will spawn, kill them. Repeat until you obtain a Blue Jewel (7576) from it.

   

10. Return to the Rune Midgart's Magician with the gemstones. He says he will extract the voices from the gems and send them to the Arunafeltz Linguist.
11. Return to the Arunafeltz Linguist. He tells you that he has made amazing progress decoding the language.
    • So much that he's unsure how to even store all the data.
    • He asks you to talk to Schwartzvalt Mechanic.
12. The Schwartzvalt Mechanic says he needs a way to store the massive amount of data and asks you to inquire with the Rune Midgart's Magician about a magical gem capable enough to storage it all.
13. The Rune Midgart's Magician says he needs an ore unlike any found in the old world to store the data.
    • He asks you to go find one of these ores on the Manuk fields.
    • Mine Unidentified Mineral (6048) from any of the Mysterious Rock (man_fild01) coordinates:

14. After obtaining the Unidentified Mineral (6048) , return to Rune Midgart's Magician. He then asks you to wait a minute while he works his magic.
    • Keep talking to the magician repeatedly until you receive the gem with the injected data.
15. After you receiving the gem, he will ask you to take it to the Schwartzvalt Mechanic.
16. The Schwartzvalt Mechanic will say he needs at least an hour to build a machine that will translate the languages using the gem.
    • Return in one hour (specified in your quest log).
17. Return to the Schwartzvalt Mechanic and he will give you the Ring of the Ancient Wise King (2782) and some EXP.
