Niru's guide to becoming a Semi-Pro SX

Hello everyone, my name is Niru, I've been playing SX for quite a while on this server. It's the first class I fell in love with and I went through the ups and downs of learning the class, I feel like my knowledge could help some others starting out with this class, since it's not always easy being melee.

But I believe this is one of the most fun ways to play, so I hope you can have fun with it too, keep in mind that I'm not a perfect player and some info on here might not work for you.

Early game stat overview:

Trait stats the same as late game stats.

Keep in mind that these stats are subjected to change and may work different on your gear level, later on you will have a bit of a slightly different stat build since you don't need dex because crits ignore flee!

Skills: Skills mostly go up to preference, here I have my skill build which may not be perfect for you but always make sure you have the most importan spells (Enchant Deadly Poison Lv5, Research New Poison Lv10, Dark Claw Lv5, Hallucination Walk Lv5, Savage Impact Lv10, Shadow Exceed Lv10, Potent Venom Lv10)

Your go to farming skill as a SX will be Savage Impact, for leveling as a GX I recommend going Rolling Cutter.

Next up is the gear you will be making/buying over the course of your journey, keep in mind that gearing is not a race and you should take everything at your own pace, if you feel like a mid game gear piece is easier or more fun to get for you, go for it. This is just my experience of gear progression over the course of gearing up.

I will be skipping over Paradise gears, as everyone has the ability to get the gear & shadow gear by going to Eden.

First set of gears

Upper	+9 to +11 Illusion Hot-Blooded Headband [1] (19344)	You can use Rune of Strength Lv2 (4995) Rune of Strength Lv2 (4995) if you decide to keep it until mid game. Make it +11 if you decide to enchant it.
Middle	Sealed Chain [1] (410094)	This will be your Middle until late game.
Lower	Bondage Necklace (420076)	Same story as the Middle one.
Armor	+9 Grace Rolling Suit [1] (450102) or +9 or +11 Illusion Sprint Mail [1] (450182)	Grace Rolling Suit is really easy to obtain, you need to finish EP.17.1 for this. Use Grace Refine Ticket (100130) to upgrade it to +9. You can use Rune of Strength Lv2 (4995) Rune of Strength Lv2 (4995) on this aswell, if you decide to keep yourself on a budget and want to skip the next part gearing part.
Weapon	Illusion Infiltrator [2] (28022)	Don't bother upgrading, your main priority is getting the next tier of weapon, this is just a filler to level yourself up. Honorable mention: Paradise Katar if ur lazy.
Garment	+9 Grace Attack Manteau [1] (480018)	Good combo with the Grace Rolling Suit, use Grace Refine Ticket (100130) to upgrade it to +9.
Shoes	+9 Grace Attack Boots [1] (470020)	Same story as the garment, upgrade with Grace Refine Ticket (100130) .
Accessory (Right)	Illusion Sprint Ring [1] (490120) or Grace Attack Ring [1] (490019)	Personal preference, use Grace Attack Ring if you can't get a hold on one of either Accessories.
Accessory (Left)	Illusion Sprint Glove [1] (490121)

The first steps towards becoming stronger

Weapon	+11 Dim Glacier Katar [1] (610041)	Enchant this with Glacier Flower Spell (Savage Impact) (311281) , Glacier Flower Spell (Physical - Race) (311348) , Glacier Flower Spell (Physical - Size) (311350) and Glacier Flower Spell (ATK) (311342)
Garment	+9 Pirate Captain's Coat [1] (480174)	If you have the funds and the will to start grading this, you will be using PCC until the final gear.
Shoes	+11 Illusion Sprint Shoes [1] (470066)	You want to enchant this bad boy with Rune of Strength Lv2 (4995) Rune of Strength Lv2 (4995) , this will sustain you until your late game gear.
Accessory (Right)	Sinful Ruby Ring [1] (490044)	Try to get Anger Lv5 (310201) and Inverse Scale Lv5 (310241) , not a problem if you get Level 3 or 4 instead!
Accessory (Left)	Sinful Ruby Necklace [1] (490045)	Try to get Anger Lv5 (310201) and Inverse Scale Lv5 (310241) , not a problem if you get Level 3 or 4 instead!

ON THE WAY TO BECOME THE VERY BEST (LIKE EVERYONE TRIES TO BE)

Upper	+12 [A] Time Dimensions Rune Crown(Shadow Cross) [1] (400533)	The best headgear in the game, must have. Enchants: are Acute Jewel 3Lv (312751) , Time Dimension Jewel (Luck) 3Lv (312712) , any stat tbh, the Luck Jewel matters the most, the Acute you can choose with 125 Runes. (EXPENSIVE)
Middle	Sealed Chain [1] (410094) or Gambler's Seal [1] (410233)	Depending on your funds you can go for Gambler's Seal with Double Critical Attak +5%.
Lower	Bondage Necklace (420076) or Ace of Hearts in Mouth (Melee Physical) (420210)	Depending on your funds you can go for Ace of Hearts with Critial Attack +7& and +5 Str/Vit.
Armor	+12 [A] Nebula Armor of Power [1] (450169)	This bad boy is the best armor, futureproof for the coming HoL update. The enchants are: Vit+5/Str+5, Nebula of Health Lv.3 (310744) , Star Cluster of Power Lv.3 (310676)	After recent talks in #thief I have discovered that going for Nebula Suit of Creative [1] (450172) with Star Cluster of Power Lv.3 (310676) and Nebula of Sharp Lv.3 (310735) would be the ideal enchant going forward.
Weapon	+12 [A] Dimensions Shadow Katar [2] (610064)	Your final weapon, it's quite easy to obtain since there is a refine box for this. Enchants: Biosphere Gem (Vibra-rupt) (311934) and one of the Varmundt Crystals, those are up to preference.
Garment	+12 [A] Pirate Captain's Coat [1] (480174)	The best garment in my opinion, there will be more infos in honorable mentions but go for this.
Shoes	+12 [A] Glade Rune Boots [1] (470174)	Enchant this with the following: Str+5/Vit+5, Power of Varmundt Lv3 (310922) and Varmundt's Crystal(Ice) Lv5 (311871) (The last enchant is up to preference, I like going for Ice because it's good to farm Temple.
Accessory (Right)	Stellar Power Seal [1] (490132)	Enchant this with Double Star of Sharp Lv.5 (310706)	If you have Nebula Suit of Creative [1] (450172) , go for the Stellar Creative Seal [1] (490135) with double Star of Sharp Lv.5 (310706)
Accessory (Left)	Venom Magic Ring [1] (490306)	Following enchants are viable, but the last one is up to preference, Fragment of Varmundt (POW) Lv5 (311978) , Tenacity of Varmundt Lv5 (311953)

Shadow Gear and Costume Stones

Middle	Guillotine Cross Stone (311434)	Increases Melee Physical Damage by 2% for every level of Dark Illusion = 10%
Lower	Guillotine Cross Stone (Low) (311435)	For each 2 Levels of Cross Ripper Slasher: Increases Ranged Physical Damage by 2%
Garment	Guillotine Cross Stone II (Garment) (310188) and Critical Stone (Dual) (311354)	The first stone activates a bunch of combos with your other Costume stones (This is better than the newly released SX stone), the Dual Crit Stone should be self explaining.
Armor	+10 Full Penetration Shadow Armor (24663)	You are looking for C.Rate +5 and any other stat beneficial stat.
Weapon	+10 Infinity Shadow Weapon (24386)	You are looking for C.Rate +5 and any other stat beneficial stat.
Shield	+10 Mega Blitz Shadow Shield (24767)	You are looking for C.Rate +5 and any other stat beneficial stat.
Shoes	+10 Full Penetration Shadow Shoes (24664)	You are looking for C.Rate +5 and any other stat beneficial stat.
Accessory	+10 Maximum Mammoth Shadow Earring (24681)	You are looking for C.Rate +5 and any other stat beneficial stat.
Accessory	+10 Maximum Mammoth Shadow Pendant (24682)	You are looking for C.Rate +5 and any other stat beneficial stat.

Cards!

Middle	Shining Seaweed Card (300360)	Some more Atk and P. Atk aswell as physical damage increase.
Armor	Two Eyes Dollocaris Card (300376) or [MVP] Boitata Card (27126) orr Unfrost Flower Card (300362)	Good boost when you hit Level 12 on the refine, aswell as good defensive stats. You can use cards such as Boitata and others depending on content, but these are the two I use the most. HONORABLE MENTION for Unfrost Flower Card, use that until you get a +12 gear piece.
Weapon	Copo Card (300455) and Polluted Wander Man Card (27361)	In my opinion the best card combo to run overall.
Garment	Galensis Card (300261)	30% Critical Damage boost when you have 125, FOR FREE.
Shoes	Entangled Intermediate Rgan Card (300380)	Another Combo once your gear hits +12, alternatively you can use Abysmal Merman Card.
Accessory	Phantom Wolf Card (300223)	Biggest Melee Card DPS combo for Accessories I am sure.
Accessory	Gray Wolf Card (300220)	Biggest Melee Card DPS combo for Accessories I am sure.

DROPRATE GOES UP

Middle	Poring Sunglasses+ [1] (19118)	Best Drop Rate Mid, can go unslotted for budget and that sweet extra % to reach +25%!
Lower	Drops Balloon (19147) or Happy Balloon (19095)	If you don't have 700m to spend on a Balloon or are incredibly gambling addicted, the Balloon will do. (Comes in different variations like Santa Poring)
Armor	+12 Kafra Uniform [1] (15186)	Enchant it to your desire, up to you.
Shoes	+12 Flow Shoes [1] (22057)	There are a few other drop rate shoes, but those give you another good boost in chance.

This is so far everything that I have in terms of gear, there is some stuff to invest in to try out but as I try this out I will update it here.
