You can use the Warper > Nightmare Dungeons > Bio Labs to reach this dungeon.

Alternatively, you can walk to the main entrance in the slums of Lighthalzen, situated northeast in the city. You'll need to bypass the guard by either constantly talking to him until he falls asleep, or complete the Friendship Quest.

Ohno Tohiro is the NPC responsible for dungeon information and access. He is located at (lighthalzen 321, 218) (few cells north east of where the Warper drops you). He has three options:

  • Ask him about the Bed of Honor: Gives background and story information about the dungeon.
  • Return to the Bed of Honor: Enter the dungeon by paying 100,000z and appear at (lhz_dun_n 98, 201) (western side of the dungeon). Note that there is no confirmation. As soon as you select this option, your money will be taken and you will be warped.
  • Say 'That's too much zeny': Be granted an option of paying  7347.png Research Chart (7347) to enter instead.

Mechanics

  • All forms of Teleport are disabled while inside.
  • Everything excluding Maggots which spawn from Corpse is Boss Protocol. Walking near corpses will breed maggots. The maggots have no drops and serve merely as a nuisance!
  • The following skills are disabled: Fiber Lock, Ice Wall, Intimidate, Fatal Menace, Dimension Door, Saturday Night Fever, Manhole, Bloody Lust, Sound of Destruction, however Vacuum Extreme is fair game and useful on Corpse before Maggots spawning!
  • There is no experience death penalty inside the dungeon nor will your pets lose intimacy upon your failures.
  • Questionable Devices grant you bonuses against monsters inside and are trigger by walking up to the various ones throughout the dungeon. Some flavor text appears as a confirmation of a buff given to you, and each device can be triggered once per hour.

Example: You kill 110 Margaretas, it spawns a true Margareta. Announcement: "Unknown Voice: Feel my true power."

Energy Particles

These particles can be exchanged to obtain Energy Fragments from Bully. They are dropped from any Bio Lab monsters and they are divided into 5 different types depending on the floor you're in.

Energy Fragments

6820.png  Energy Fragment (6820)  are used to obtain Old Headgears. They can also be converted into 22687.png  Fragment of Vicious Mind (22687)  or  23016.png  Grudge Fragment (23016) .

These below methods are not often used due to the relative ease of obtaining Will of Warrior, Blood Thirst and Ghost Chill from Wolfchev's Laboratory or Bio Labs Level 4:

You can obtain Energy Fragments by exchanging Energy Particles however, the most popular method of earning Energy Fragments for your Costume Headgear into Old Headgear creation is speaking with Victimized Soul's Energy NPC in the Sanctuary via Lunar (above). This NPC will take applicable Bio 3 and Bio 4 weapons and give you 1 - 3 Energy Fragments at random per weapon. The Doram Kafra NPC inside has access to Primary, Secondary and Guild Storage so you may obtain your hard earned Energy Fragments~

Fragment of Vicious Mind

22687.png  Fragment of Vicious Mind (22687)  can be used to reset the enchant of the Old Headgears. It can also be consumed to warp you directly inside the Tomb of the Fallen, ignoring the costs of either Ohno or Lunar. (also works as  Fly Wing if used inside the dungeon). 

Bully can give you 1 Sentimental Fragment at the cost of 50 Energy Fragments. Useful in the end stages of your creating your headgear!

Grudge Fragments

23016.png  Grudge Fragment (23016)  are required to enchant Old Headgears.

Bully will give you 1 Grudge Fragment at the cost of 666 Energy Fragments. Definitely not worth it due to the retaliative ease of obtaining a Grudge Fragment via monsters inside Bed of Honor versus farming weapons for Energy Fragments .

Fallen Warrior Manteau

Fallen Warrior Manteau drop in the Bio 5: The Bed of Honor Dungeon from the MVPs.
There are two versions of Fallen Warrior Manteau:

  • 20748.png Fallen Warrior Manteau (20748) has no card slot and no bonuses to MaxHP and MaxSP. These drop from Tomb of the Fallen MVPs at a 75% chance.
  • 20749.png Fallen Warrior Manteau [1] (20749) has a card slot and provides additional MaxHP and MaxSP bonuses. These must be upgraded from the above version.

To upgrade a 20748.png Fallen Warrior Manteau (20748) to its slotted version, you need to speak with Sorrowful Soul's Energy (near (lhz_dun_n 136, 265)).

Crafting these headgears requires a number of ingredients. First, you need to acquire souls of the corresponding first job class that matches your desired headgear's class. These all drop at a 5% chance from the normal mobs (separate chance for each party member). MVPs will drop 3 of their corresponding at a 100% chance, and reward an extra soul to the MVP. Please note that the souls are ACCOUNT BOUND.

Enchant Requirements

Speak to Wanderind Mind (lhz_dun_n 134, 265) to start the enchanting process. It requires 10 Grudge Fragment each for the 3rd and 4th enchant. Those will always be Stat enchants. Once you've enchanted it twice, you can enchant the 2nd slot and it will be either a Stat enchant or the powerful enchants listed below. If you get the powerful enchant, it will start at Level 1. The below table lists the required amount in order to obtain that level. If you fail the upgrade of the powerful enchant, it will downgrade one level (minimum Level 1).

Resetting Enchantments

The Wanderind Mind (lhz_dun_n 134, 265) offers rerolling 1st/2nd enchant for fully enchanted headgears at an increased cost of 1,000,000 zeny and 50 23016.png Grudge Fragment (23016) .
